MJW, fanspeak right now has 9 different prospect lists and they are all different (some more than others)

Chubb - wouldnt that be nice.

Hernandez - over a RB all day long, sometimes I see others farther down like a DE or CB that will be gone and I think about another 3rd or 4th. I have even started thinking about OT's since they are popping up now.

Nick Chubb - I've been all over with the 3rd pick, mostly DE or CB, and now DT and OL are getting in the picture.

Ragnow - I've picked Ragnow a bunch of times, I have noticed though, if I think OL then someone on defense gets cancelled out.

Tolliver - I have yet to pick, once the combine is over things will get tighter on who you can actually get.

Mike White - I have not picked yet, does he have a franchise/game manager switch?

Toth - How many years before he can see the field?

Every Sim I have done, except for a couple to see how things would play out, has been with the thought that RB is the one position we wont address early and sometimes not at all. In my opinion, we are able to get much more of the players that I would want because of it.

I like a bunch of OL men, but I'm sure of most none of them. If I pick one, its easy to be tempted to add another. Since we canned everybody on our OL, we assembled a quick line back up and what I see the most is they struggle to give a RB some running room. Other than that they arent miles worse than the Donald Penn group...

Bootz, your getting some picks I really like. I not sure if your giving up futures for it to happen though. I never have signed up for that Sim maker or have I done the upgrade they do with Fanspeak. The few trades that I have done is when I see a player I want and they are farther down, I ask myself can I trade down with someone and get an extra pick because of it. Its hard because you have to identify the trade partner and then add that player that is still around into your Sim. Its early, I notice everybody is getting high grades right now.

Much of the time I do Sims, its not always to see who we get but who we wont get because of another we have picked...

On draft night, do they use the NFL.com graded out prospect list?

Only made one trade. Didn’t want it to be too crazy. Traded back with Buffalo for both 1sts and a 2nd..

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 21 (BUF): Marcus Davenport, DE, Texas-San Antonio (A-)
Round 1 Pick 22 (BUF): Vita Vea, DT, Washington (B+)
Round 2 Pick 6: Derrius Guice, RB, LSU (A-)
Round 2 Pick 24 (BUF): Will Hernandez, OG, Texas-El Paso (A)
Round 3 Pick 5: Kevin Toliver II, CB, LSU (A-)
Round 4 Pick 8: James Daniels, C, Iowa (A+)
Round 5 Pick 7: D.J. Reed, CB, Kansas State (A)
Round 6 Pick 6: Tre'Quan Smith, WR, Central Florida (A+)
Round 6 Pick 28: David Bright, OT, Stanford (A+)

I’d be beyond thrilled with this. Major bump to the trenches, run game and secondary.

Yeah definitely unrealistic. But it was the most realistic one of the trades offered. And hey, teams do crazy things for a QB! Haha

I don't think it's that crazy. They'd be jumping up 14 spots into the top 10. By comparison last year the Texans jumped 13 spots from 25 to 12 and they only gave up a 1st in this years draft and switched 1sts with Cleveland in last years draft. IMO we would next more in a trade with Buffalo.

True, I very well could be way off..

I was using the draft values from Walter and it did add up/make sense for Buffalo imo...

#7- 1500

#21- 800
#22- 780
#55- 340

That 2nd rounder looks to be some extra icing on the cake/wishful thinking...

But again, supply vs demand, right?

Gas ain't worth $3/gallon... or is it?!?

Forgot to say, in any of my posts, I DO like what you did with the picks Teitan...

Love Vea..

Taking Davenport there is gravy, essentially getting him for a 2nd rounder in my head...

I do like Guice..

Love the Hernandez pick...

Those 4 alone would have me grinning from ear to ear..

I view it s a supply and demand situation. Buffalo has to give up bit more to move up. If all they offer is equal value why would we move up? Entice us to want to make that trade and potentially give up a premium player. Think about it? Would you rather have Mike Evans or Ha Ha Clinton-Dix & Johnny Manziel?

Unless there's someone ELSE also desperate to move up to our spot, we don't automatically win the "supply and demand" floor show, sweetheart. If it's just us and the Bills negotiating, and we say "HERP A DERP PAY US ALL YER DRAFTZ" they can say, "No, that's fine, we know you won't draft a quarterback, we'll just deal with the Bears, who also don't need a quarterback, or the 49ers, who also don't need a quarterback, or the Raiders, who also don't need a quarterback, and pay much less, since you guys are idiots."

Exactly. I don't even think we're in a prime spot for team to trade up with. But if Buffalo tried they'd have to entice Licht to do so.

Kind of depends on how soon the trades start, Cleveland could take someone's futures for next year. They may want 13 picks again next year. Are quarterbacks the only reason to move up this year? I cant pretend to know what anybody is going to do or how bad any team wants a specific player. It could get crazy.

For those who would sell and trade down so someone could get a quarterback you would think it would be for a helluva price because then it would mean they are also giving up their choice of the other picks.

If teams move up to target a certain player have to be wary that they didnt (get to cute) and just trade down to far. We could tell the Bears, I got three players and I will be happy with any three of them - make your offer cuz we are talking to the 49ers next.

If Cleveland dont take a quarterback first then the Colts could mull on a super big offer that knocks the Browns out of their choice of whoever the Giants dont pick for QB.

That's why these things can be fun, but they're probably not a great reason to get our hopes up about anything. All of those players went at least 2 rounds too late. In the case of Hand and Kelly, maybe four rounds too late.

Like it again Bootz!

Definitely adds some pop to your edge rush...

And Jones is a nice addition to the backfield, albeit a different style/type of runner than I like..

It was either Jones or Guice. Just me but he's a 1 contract type. I think his style and injury history will limit his career span. I think Jones at least compliments Barber.

But priority #1 is the pass rush and we need a lot of bodies there.

Barber, imo, is like a hometown hero type..guy who should definitely be 3rd string...thus my desire for, another, big, bruising style RB...again, opinions will vary..

But in regards to our pass rush? You are spot ****ing on...
