He's gonna **** it up while he does, put up late and then everyone is gonna jump onto that one because HE started it. Then while the draft happens he's gonna **** bitches, get money and we'll all be saying "Thank you based Plinko"

At this point I'm just hoping we keep the 19th overall pick. What I'm hoping happens is

#19 -Dalvin Cook
Bucs trade up - Take BPA offensive lineman
2nd round 18th pick- Jabrill Peppers

Do that and I'll be a very happy man

The Browns are unofficially on the clock, but later today they will have the timer ticking down as they make their decision for the first overall pick. For weeks mock drafts have projected Texas A&M pass rusher Myles Garrett to come off the board first, but recent reports are saying something else.

North Carolina quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is gaining momentum as the player Cleveland will take first. The speculation started last week when Cleveland.com reported Trubisky is in "serious consideration by the Browns at No. 1." The report claims the team is scared the 49ers may take the QB at No. 2 if Cleveland goes Garrett.

The speculation started again on draft day, and the day before the draft, with a few reports saying there's a lot of talk that Trubisky goes at the top spot.

"I continue to hear that Mitchell Trubisky is square in consideration and may turn out to be the No. 1 pick," ESPN's Adam Schefter said Wednesday. “Now I know everyone thinks Myles Garrett’s going to be the pick, and I will not be surprised if that’s the case tomorrow night. But I have got very smart, very well-connected people telling me over the last 24 hours that they think Trubisky’s going to be the No. 1 pick."

Michael Lombardi, who was the Browns' GM in 2013-14, said the team "called teams [Wednesday] to see if anyone wants to move up to [Cleveland's] 12th pick from the back of the draft. They are locked in at one."

Cleveland's front office and coaches have repeatedly said they need a quarterback in this draft, so if the Browns go Garrett at No. 1 then they would need a QB at 12. But the fact they are willing to move on from the 12th pick indicates they will avoid risk of losing the QB the want, and just take him first.

Adam Schefter‏ @AdamSchefter

At least 24 teams personally have called OSU's Gareon Conley over the past 48 hours, per source. He has proclaimed his innocence to all.

— The Buccaneers have been looking to trade out because they know Dalvin Cook has no suitors between No. 19 and No. 28. The Packers at No. 29 may be in play if he’s there. Cook also has interest from the Eagles, and he’s the No. 1-rated running back for the Redskins. If the Bucs do trade down, the Giants want to insure themselves of a top three offensive tackle, and the Seahawks want to go offensive line in Round 1. The Broncos almost surely will go offensive line at No. 20 unless none of the top four are there.

This is stupid. So the Giants and Chiefs don't need a RB? Even Denver and Detriot and to an extent even Seattle could jump on Cook. If he's your guy you don't roll the dice hoping he's there later.

If Cooks off the board, I could see us trading down half a dozen spots and targeting Foreman.

Read between the lines, kiddo. Draft talk. They're trying to boost value of their pick to get more out of it in a trade. They know teams need RB. Cook obviously isn't who Light wants. My guess is it's either Mixon or Njoku. You could trade back and get 1 of those 2 guys plus more draft ammo.

Obvious how? Also, the name is Licht.

My guesses for trade down targets are Engram and Foreman FWIW.

Hot takes for day 1;

Jags draft a QB tonight

Neither Cook or Reddick will be available at 19

Howard goes top 10

Cam Robinson is the first OT drafted

John Ross doesn't get drafted (maybe the Saints at 32, but not before)

Bucs trade down

Teams that want to move up in the top 10 want to do so for Christian McCaffrey. I slotted him to the Philadelphia Eagles at 14, with the idea that they might need to move up. He’s the player they want and have wanted for much of the draft process. I think there's a greater than 50/50 chance McCaffrey goes to the Eagles, despite his recent buzz.

I don't buy that for a second.

If Licht is trading up to 5, he is looking for Hooker, Adams, Thomas, or Fournette.

EDIT: My thought process on that is that he would not have to trade all the way up to five to have his choice of McCaffrey or Cook. He could do that @ #10.

I am hoping either I heard wrong or they got it wrong. I don't know what it would take to jump up that far but I would have to imagine it would be this years draft and next years draft. Regardless of player that just seems like too much.

Then again, is there any highly touted punter or long snapper this year?
