A little surprised by Cook, I thought he was a 4.4 guy for sure.

I'm not and he is...figured this is how things would shake out...he's not gonna push that hammy...

Side note, who the **** cares what a RB's vert is? Nobody is asking the guy to grab rebounds...

Stupid ass underwear Olympics...

If a DL can extend there arm and prevent an OL from locking on they can easily control the OL and maneuver around them.

Same applies in reverse where an OL is trying to engage the DL and lock them out.

I'm sure Cheb can explain in more detail.

Guys with longer arms have an easier time of it.

It's a race each snap to get your hands on the other guy before he gets his hands on you. After a moment, both of you will have your hands on each other's and someone is trying to lock out their arms. If one guy has arms that are four inches longer than the others, then all things being equal, when he locks out his arms straight, he maintains his grip while his opponent is grasping air. A defender can make up a disadvantage by only using one arm instead of two, but by and large, arm length matters.

Depending on scheme and matchup, you are aiming to get your hands on the chest plate, or on their inside shoulder, or just get their hands off of you as you're moving. No matter the target, being able to strike and maintain contact at a longer distance is advantageous.

It's easier to show this stuff than write about it. Sorry if the explanation sucked.

Fournette is a better prospect than Gurley IMHO. Thought that before today.

Cook will be a good one, but people need to calm down with comparisons to dudes like Edge. He's not that guy.

After absorbing these RB drills it seems clear to me that the most talented back is McCaffrey. I suppose you could say most talented at working out if you think this stuff does not translate to a football game. He looks to have the best feet and hands. And his tape is every bit as good as Dalvin Cook's so it would not surprise me if he started to go before Cook in some mocks. And I've been accused of being a huge Dalvin Cook homer, which is probably true.

But to draft CM or Cook we'd have to burn a 1st and that's not likely happening. So which one of these guys should we target? I am intrigued by Jamaal Williams, a guy I need to watch play more. In shorts he looks like he could really grind a defense down. I don't watch the Mountain West conference. Has anyone seen a lot of Williams in action and care to comment?

When you picked CM as our first pick I thought you were nuts, he has drawn my interest but I still think another direction is better for us. I'm glad I got more time to think about it.

"Just say NO" to a RB early..

If we want a bigger, smash out the yards kind of guy, we can grab Perrine later..

If we want a big play/home run hitter type guy, Mack from USF will be there..

Feels good to be watching these qbs and knowing we don't need 1 at all. Also this class is terrible so that's great.

Travis Rudolph with a disappointing 4.6 for both runs. Yea Ross made big $ with that time today! My slight knock on him is that he's only 188lbs

It would be interesting. Do you really want to double Evans when you have this missile constantly speeding towards your end zone? I'm sure Winston would appreciate a guy who is hard to overthrow.

I find it interesting that Steve Smith thinks that Cooper Kupp is the best receiver in the draft.

I agree. I am not advocating for the guy. I don't want to worry about those reconstructed knees.

He had 1150 yards and seventeen touchdowns last season on those reconstructed knees.

Just saying.

Another knock people are putting on Ross is the Alabama game and how Ross was shut down.

Let's not forget that Browning had Jonathan Allen, Tim Williams, Dashawn Hand, and Reuben Foster in his face every snap.

Good as Ross is, He's not going to get separation from Marlon Humphry that Browning can exploit while he's running for his life.

Interesting that we haven't yet met with Corey Davis, OJ Howard or DeMarcus Walker, though we have met with Carroll Phillips(DE,Illinois) THREE times.
