What's your reasoning behind that?? Corner is the 1 position I've never heard anyone say they wouldn't draft early.

My reasoning is because when I told him his pick was up he said, "I'm making tacos".

Same here, especially in the modern NFL.

I believe everything goes inside-out. I think CBs are entirely reliant on the pass rush. A good pass rush makes an average CB into a good CB and a bad pass rush makes a good CB average. Because of that, it's really difficult to evaluate them and even if you have a very good one, I don't think he impacts the defense as a starter as much as a rotational lineman that can create pressure and keep the other guys fresh. Even if you do get a shutdown CB, which I don't really believe is a thing in a vacuum, it still only takes away one of multiple targets for the offense.

I have a similar opinion about WRs with them being dependent on good pass blocking and thus not really worth high picks except in the very rare circumstance you can get a guy like Mike Evans that is physically dominant and can kill teams in the redzone. It's one of the reasons why I think drafting a second WR is silly. I also believe WRs are sooooo dependent on chemistry with the QB and opportunity that complementary WRs are much easier to find than many other positions.

I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I think a less talented personnel man that never drafted any position other than QB-OL-DL in the first two rounds would field a more successful team consistently than a very good personnel man that consistently drafted BPA on their board regardless of position.

I like Wilson to Bengals.

Eagles with Foreman, let's hope they bite on one of those first rounders or sign AP/Charles. I want Foreman in Tampa! Ha

I read something about him that terrified me:

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/ ... id=2557994

"I think he would have benefitted by staying in school another year. He's awful in pass protection. Our coaches won't put him out there if they think he'll get the quarterback killed. He has ability as a runner but I think it's going to take awhile for him to become a factor."

I'm fine with that. We can coach him up. I want him here but I want him here with a free agent back. I'd love to see Latavious Murray, D'Onta Foreman, Peyton Barber as our 3 RBS.

Nice pick by the Iggles..

I agree Teitan, Foreman is my favorite RB option for us..

In regards to his "pass pro", obviously he needs to get better, most college guys do..

But pass pro is much, MUCH easier (especially in our offense) when the run game is working and we can go heavy PA pass..it's not like anyone projects him as a do it all 3rd down back anyway..and we have Sims for that role..

The Buffalo Bills trade the 44th pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for picks 50, 162, 237.

We hear they really like a kicker.

TB on the clock.

I'm not a fan of Foreman as a runner, but saw these tweets come up after the scout said that about his pass blocking. PFF also has him as giving up only one QB pressure.

https://twitter.com/Marcus_Mosher/statu ... 2623796226

So I charted him in 2016. I had him at 166 pass blocking reps. He gave up one pressure and zero sacks.

https://twitter.com/nfldraftscout/statu ... 1926735877

This is very weird, indeed. I thought Foreman was a stud in pass pro. Not a great receiver, but tremendous blocker.

Confirmed. Bucs selected Budda Baker. I hate not addressing either line (outside of Howard's blocking ability), but Howard and Baker are just too talented to pass up. Gave up a 5th and 7th to go get Baker.

Although the Bucs came out ahead in this trade when you look at a draft trade chart, I don't know if I like it.

One could argue that the teams ahead of us probably aren't going to target a safety (Buffalo, Arizona, Minnesota, Baltimore, Indy, and Washington), and thus Baker is realtor would likely to fall to us. But by and large, that's a subjective argument. Perhaps more importantly is that we are giving up draft capital in an admittedly deep draft. Unless a player is a grand slam pick or the teams immediately between us and them are likely to take them, I generally don't like trading up.

However, I must temper that with my love for Buddha's, bakers, and safeties with talent.

We probably coulda waited. Just saying.

He might have fallen, might not have.

Arizona has both Tony Jefferson and DJ Swearinger as free agents. Baltimore is losing Matt Elam (though he wasn't starting) and Ladarius Webb/Eric Weddle are both on the wrong side of 30, Colts Mike Adams is old and a free agent, Redskins Duke Ihenacho and Donte Whitner are free agents and Deangelo Hall is 33.

Those teams probably more pressing needs, but we see it all the time where teams go BPA and take a guy that falls. I'm also of the opinion that if you know a guy is your guy, you go get him regardless of cost (see Roberto Aguayo unfortunately :banghead: )

I would've drafted Baker at 46 to the Cards if he was there. He and Lawson were the top players on the my board and made sense for the teams I'm drafting for (Colts-Cards)

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I think it may be a pipe dream as I don't think either one falls to where they did.

It's weird the things you think about when you're addicted to football. I woke up at 4am and was trying to get back to sleep, "I don't think Budda Baker has been picked yet" popped in to my head randomly and I shot a trade request over at 4:18am haha. I think I have a problem.

Assuming both run well, Kamara and Foreman are neck and neck as my #3 and #4 RBs in this draft for the Bucs. McCaffery is a weapon for sure, but he's kinda similar to Sims IMO and not sure I see him as the feature RB of a run first team. Mixon is obviously a wildcard... if he didn't have that punch thing, he'd probably be 3rd.
