**My All-Linemen Draft**

Postby theBKwhopper » Wed Jan 18, 2017 12:05 am

So, I decided to try out this new approach, And although it's pretty unrealistic, I thought it was intriguing. With this mock draft, I feel like we could strengthen our entire team by building from the inside out.

1ST ROUND - GARETT BOLLES - UTAH
OT - 6'5" - 3OOLBS
Image

2ND ROUND - PAT ELFLEIN - OHIO STATE
C - 6'3" - 295LBS.
Image

3RD ROUND - MONTRAVIUS ADAMS - AUBURN
DT - 6'4" - 306LBS
Image

4TH ROUND - DAESHON HALL - TEXAS A&M
DE - 6'6" - 260LBS
Image

5TH ROUND - ISAAC ROCHELL - NOTRE DAME
DE - 6'4" - 280LBS
Image

6TH ROUND - GREG PYKE - GEORGIA
OG - 6'6" - 326LBS
Image

7TH ROUND - CHUNKY CLEMENTS JR - ILLINOIS
3T - 6'3" - 284LBS
Image

I basically drafted an entire Dline, and one of each Oline positions. The idea of being able to not only find some starters, but also build depth on both our lines gets me excited. I know it's not realistic, obviously. I just thought it was cool the more I looked at it. Anyways, tell me what y'all think! I would like to know if you guys have any other lineman you take instead.

I did a similiar sim with a bunch of o-linemen. But then I thought who gets all the players were going to let go and then when they do well on their new ball clubs,

we look Buc stupid later on.

We totally cleaned house on our o-line and I think you cant just keep replacing players. Whoever we put on the line is going to have to get battle tested.

I'm down to go bpa and if that means all lineman, then so be it.

Don't really see Bolles being bpa at 19 though.

Elflein is good C prospect, but Koetter appears to prefer mobile centers (Hawley), and the one real knock on Elflein is his mobility.

Bryant would be great in the 3rd if we don't go the Short/Poe route.

You will never hear me complain about drafting a lineman, ever. If a team has a good QB, a good oline, and a good dline they will win a lot of games.

This draft would really make a statement. Build up the trenches. Love it.

The tough part is finding places for all these guys on the roster...

It would be a good problem to have, imo.

Where's Sweezy? Howard Jones? Leonard Wester? See this just illustrates the problem with taking all lineman. A bunch of guys, worthy roster players, are gonna get cut.

All of them won't make the roster. That never ever happens.

I won't count Sweezy until I get some definitive information that he will play next year.

Howard Jones flashed his first year, but didn't really show a lot of progress this year.

If you wanna throw Wester in there, go for it. I personally didn't see much from him in the limited playing time he got.

The whole point of this draft was to upgrade both our lines. And, I made that list of the top guys I would want to see compete. Some players will get cut, yes. But, our trenches will be significantly upgraded.

Just alternate OL and DL, or DL and OL. Please.

That's what a smart plan would be

Our plan will probably be

Round 1: Shiny new RB!
Round 2: Another WR weapon for Jameis
Round 3: Lets grab a LB
Round 3 B: Rando CB that's falling
Round 5: Developmental OL that will/should never see the field
Round 7: FB for good measure

Agreed. I would go OT and Edge Rusher in the first two rounds. Don't care which is first. Obviously BPA factors in. But, I just really wanna focus on the lines.
