Maaan. That playcall against LSU at the :40 mark is insane. It would never work in the NFL, but that's inventive to say the least. Reverse flea flicker screen pass. What?

I have watched some Reynolds highlights and he is very physically gifted, but looks slow. But that is also why we are talking about him as a day 2 or 3 guy and not 1. He can definitely catch the ball over shorter defenders. Very impressive highlights all things considered. I have been mocking either of the LSU WRs because I think they suffered from horrible QB play. But if we want BIG WR I think Reynolds is a great 3 or 4th round options, unless he runs a putrid 40.

I could be wrong, but Reynolds looks like a 4.5 flat guy to me which isn't slow at all. Long limbed guys always look slower than they are on film.

He's a bit of a developmental guy- doubt he'd be able to start day 1, but dude is a heck of a talent (a 6'4" athlete with natural skills) and I wouldn't be shocked if we are talking about him as a Pro Bowler in a few years. If we miss out on our desired WRs early, I'd take a chance on him as early as round 3. Maybe earlier. Reminds me a bit of Martavis Bryant without the off-field concerns, though perhaps not as twitched up.

I like that kid too.

What are you Noles fans opinions on Bobo Wilson? Was FSUs leading receiver before sustaining a foot injury. He's of that quick/fast returner/slot type, and had a nice connection with Winston a couple of years ago I recall. Could be had super late or maybe even as a UDFA as beyond the injury he got charged with theft for stealing a moped.

Never lived up to his hype/potential imo..

Looking at FSU's struggles/shortcomings since the 2013 Natty, play making at the WR position is near the top of the list...

Rudolph, Wilson and Kermit are all guys whom played hard, but no one feared..they were all inconsistent as hell..now granted, QB play had a TON to do with that as well..

But Noonie Murray stepped in at mid-year this year and became the game changing/quick twitch WR all 3 of the aforementioned guys were supposed to be..

Wouldn't hurt to bring him in as a UDFA..but I wouldn't draft him..

ArDarius Stewart from Bama just declared. Only Bama I watched this year was vs USC(Where he dominated), and the NC(Where he was invisible). Any thoughts from those who watched him more?

I don't want any of these FSU WRs. Not concerned about seeing them go at all as I want Gavin and Campbell on the field. Whitfield is blazing fast but just not much football instincts.

I like Jalen Hurd as a mid round RB. Reminds me of Eddie George with his running style, tall and upright but has amazing power, balance, agility, and upside as a receiver. Not a home run threat, but we got Sims for that. Interviews will be crucial for him.

If this player turns out to be to slow for a corner, I wonder if he could be a safety.

I'm curious why so many think D'Onta Foreman is going to be a late 1st/early 2nd type of pick.

I live in Texas, just talked to one of my friends who is a 20+ year season ticket holder, the biggest UT homer I know...and he said he'd be shocked if Foreman goes in the first 2 rounds. More of a 3rd round guy.

Copycat league. Cowboys draft Zeke high and he then runs all the way to the ROTY. "Golly! Look what Zeke did for Dak!"

Everybody is looking for the next Zeke and it's inflating the value.

Foreman can be really good. With a better O-line at Texas, he'd be hyped like Derek Henry was last year.

The Broncos should target him.

And the funniest part of it all is that Dallas has been a top 10 rushing team each of the last 3 years. Its not like Zeke came in and turned the whole thing around. If teams want to copy Dallas' success rushing the ball they should ask themselves how Dallas was able to be a top 10 rushing team 3 years in a row with 3 different leading tailbacks.

This all day. Build the line and you can run.

But Zeke behind the awful line in Minny, and for as talented as he is I don't think he breaks 4 yards a carry.

Put the completely average Jerick McKinnon - Minny's leading rusher this year with a 3.4 YPC average - in Dallas, and I think he's in the Pro Bowl.

He had help but that quarterback made them win and got them into the playoffs ----------------- mainly by not being a screw up.

Much easier to not be a screw up when you have a 1600 yard rusher and aren't getting sacked or running for your life and you have a HOF safety valve at TE..

That said, the kid played very, very well..

Played like a 10 year vet. Hell, his calmness in big games is impressive. Just look at our SNF game, Jameis was rattled from the beginning while he was cool as a cucumber. Looked like he belonged. Best part is, Dallas didn't even need to burn a day 1 or 2 pick to find their next franchise guy.

Meanwhile, our first overall QB has the accuracy of a bent shotgun, and folds like a napkin every time we need a big play.

Some mid round (rounds 3/4) RBs who I think can come in and be 1st and 2nd down runners for us (with Rodgers as insurance) if we cut Martin are:

D'Onta Foreman (2nd), Brian Hill (2nd/3rd), Kareem Hunt (3rd/4th), and Samaje Perine (3rd/4th).

Some early/mid round (rounds 2/3/4) WRs who I think can come in and compete for a starting job are:

Isaiah Ford (2nd), Zay Jones (2nd/3rd), Josh Reynolds (3rd/4th).

If we can get a couple of those guys on Day 2, I'll be thrilled.

A couple of interesting stats for Kareem Hunt.

1. Hunt caught 93% percent of his targets despite a 4.6 aDOT last year (which is very high for a RB).
2. Hunt fumbled only once among his 856 touches over his college career. That fumble rate is absolutely freakishly elite. In comparison, Dalvin Cook fumbled once for every 63.8 touches.

This is why I like Hunt in the 3rd or 4th. Not only is he an excellent inside runner, but he can catch and protects the ball.

I just read that about Hunt's fumbling. That is insane. One fumble as a freshman, which he recovered.

Not sure where else to post this, just saw this tweet.

nfldraftscout: There are a handful of 2nd rounders this year that would have been top 20 players last year.

DJ said something similar. I believe his quote was that there 50 or so players with first round grades.

Nice for us since our 2nd pick is 50th. We could conceivably add 2 first round talents in this draft.

I've always maintain Day 2 is my favourite day of the draft.

Mine as well. Day 1 is exciting, first football anything in months. But you kinda get a feel for where most teams are looking in the top 5-10. With the Bucs picking 19, that should perk up interest as it gets closer to the pick.

Day 2 is the "how did this guy not get drafted in the 1st?" and whatnot.

When we drafted Spence last year I was elated, then crushed when we took a kicker. Gotta love day 2.

Day 3 will be on all day but I usually only watch until the Bucs 4th pick, then I do my house errands and keep an eye on any trading up/down the Bucs do.

Yup. I see Foreman as a 2nd or 3rd round guy, similar grade as Murray when he came out.

For being "a dime a dozen" RBs are really scarce right now and the talent at the position has taken a real nose dive over the last decade. In 2005 you had like ten rushers with 300+ carries, clear workhorses, cornerstone players and stuff. This year one one RB broke 300 carries- Zeke. I think of the top 10 RBs last year only Freeman finished in the top 10 this year, and the rest have unsure futures. Workhorses are rare and even a good committee is hard to put together. Look at how many failed backfields there are around the league right now.
