Absolutely. Big time talent former #1 overall who is still in his mid 20s given a shot to work with Bruce Arians???

Some folks here are talking Andy fuckin Dalton lol

Yes, I agree. I think there would/will absolutely be a market for him. Not a top paid QB market, but certainly a market.

We'd be just as mixed in signing him as people were for Cutler in the past.

Even against the Rams, 40 points by the Rams only 7 off turnovers. We thankfully scored 55, a lot of them off turnovers.

Love how you always bring up those three games but conveniently forget about the 9ers, London Turnover Fest and Saints at Tampa games.

It's sad, really. You know, if he ever really wants us to give up on him being Bootz, he might want to give up on the Bootz schtick.

I've come to terms with the Bootz thing now. Anything that's said is hit with "I knew you were Bootz". Pete pretty much told me it's just a running gag so it's not a bother to me as much. I'm not the only person getting called Bootz.

In the back of my mind though I guess it would be nice if he decided to return if for no other reason than people can stop turning everything I post into a Bootz thing.

this was my point; i should have added the price tag to the caveats. of course there will be buyers at the right price, which should be in the career backup range. anyone insisting the bucs would be even sniffing at FA jameis this off-season at a price even remotely near $20mm is deluded. after one FA season under BA, the same folks would be claiming jameis just needs more time under BA’s tutelage and/or cursing licht for another boneheaded FA acquisition. some folks never learn, despite the overwhelming evidence.

MJM has a good post (yes, just one - j/k Tootz) around here somewhere regarding Winston being a career backup. Dude has too much God given talent not to hang around another five seasons... probably bounce around to a few teams, get some spot wins and that is about it.

It would be interesting to see him go to NE to eventually replace Brady but if he can't win the WR corps in Tampa, he would have a be doubly BOHICA'd up there.

completely agree. jameis has all the physical tools to bounce around the league for years as a backup, and there will be plenty of coaches who think they can fix him. imo, what he lacks between the ears is what will always hold him back from realizing the potential his physical tools promise.

The last time was probably around a bunch of Dolphin fans who talked about Tanne the exact same way y'all talk about Winston. Literally anyone will be better.

Look at Tanne now.

The Dolphins were most upset Tannehill couldn't stay healthy...and they began the year to intentionally tank.

That's a bit different.

Better comparisons are Cutler or Sanchez.

WTF are you talking about?

Many Charger fans were pissed he left, and it is was not like Drew sucked like Winston. He was the 3rd best quarter back in 2004 and 10th in 2005.

I feel the need to quantify this to people.

many people on here are just under the impression that Winston "might be average" or "just kinda bad"

No... he ****ing sucks and sucks in a big way, he had one "average" season.

2019 29th
2018 24th
2017 15th
2016 21st
2015 28th

So I ask you.... What the ever loving **** are you smoking?
