I love how this thread went from "If we go 6-10 who survives" to "So Winston survives no matter what even though 6-10 means he didn't play well" almost immediately.

Seems premature since he hasn't started a game this season.

Here is an idea? Lets see how he plays these last 12 games then discuss how "safe" he should be.

Ok, well how about the coaches?

Many folks here have already made their positions known on this subject. Many (most?) think that anything less than the playoffs could very well spell the end of Koetter and his staff.

And that’s when the “Trade for Gruden” thread starts... :(

It didn't turn into that, it was created like that. Says so in the very first post. And you know what the OP is.

Let me see if this holds water....when the Glazers "cleaned house" as you put it, the implication is that they run a full vacuum cleaner cleansing of the coaching staff, Including the lowly staff support folks. Is that correct?

Enter as evidence, the end of the Gruden era. Where, exactly, did we find his replacement? God help us if, after another "house cleaning" we end up with another Raheem and his younger philosophy.

So, in your mind, if the Bucs can't win 4 more games, Winston sucks. Period. Doesn't matter if the defense remains a bottom 30 defense.

Is that about right?

All the teams outside the top two are bottom 30 defenses.

Forget 6-10. Less than 9 wins and I'm bracing for a house-cleaning for 2019. Koetter is on his last chance. If this team doesn't have a winning record -- and the way they're playing right now that's a distinct possibility -- then I expect the ownership to wipe the slate yet again.

Somebody needs to go over the schedule and find 7 more sure victories for me.

Hey dead man. I'm sadly afraid you are giving them higher value than reality. 6 games?

The way we're playing right now, I don't even see another win.

As much as I hate coaching carousals, I can't see giving this guy a 4th year if he has another losing season. I get that the offense has improved a lot since he's been here, but he's ultimately responsible for the defense as well and he has failed big time in that regard. Loyalty is gonna bite him in the ass.

Let's be honest. The ONLY reason he got a 3rd season to begin with is so the Glazers could save face and not embarrass themselves by firing another coach after 2 seasons.

If Nebraska will carry Frosts contract, lets go get him! Go to Gruden and see if he will give us PJ Hall and a 4th Chris Warren for McCoy.

That may be and, if so, they are reaping the rewards of that fail today.

The only reason he got a 3rd season is because Gruden didn't want to come here. Which maybe ends up a good thing in the long run based on the way Oakland is looking.

LOL at Scott Frost...0-6 at Nebraska and finding new ways to lose each week. I will give him the fact that took over a terrible team, but they just executing either. They had a 10 point lead with 3:00 in the game against Northwestern and they found a way to snatch a defeat from the jaws of victory.

If the Glazers clean house, they do not have the luxury of rolling the dice on a college HC with zero NFL experience.
