Let this sink in......

Postby Defense5599 » Mon Oct 01, 2018 8:20 am

Mitch Trubisky threw seven TDs all of last season. He had six against the Bucs Sunday. If Koetter is even THINKING about keeping his butt buddy Smith around, the Glazers need to go over his head and fire him. And if this causes Koetter to leave, so be it.
TAMPAAAAAAAAAA!!!! BAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!

Koetter would be wise to realize that if he doesn't fire Mike Smith, he's in danger of being fired himself.

I think it's playoffs or bust for Koetter, regardless.

His team just got embarrassed so his look postgame is as expected.

Glazer's have never fired a HC in-season. Koetter won't be the first unless things continue like they did Sunday.

I do believe the Glazers and/or Licht are going to let Koetter know that Smitty has to go. Koetter doesn't have to fire anybody, he just has to decide if he wants to die on the hill defending Mike Smith in a 'if you fire him, you have to fire me as well' scenario. Which imo would be very dumb for Koetter to do.

I do think it would be better of Koetter fired Smitty from an organizational and public perspective vice sitting back and letting Licht/Ownership make the statement.

It looked like peaceful readiness and acceptance. He's ready. This team would drive anybody nuts.

Let’s be honest, Koetter has a look of defeat as well, he’s over it..this team is cooked and we will be starting over again next year.

IMHO, Smith is just a symptom of Koetter's soft, unready for the job illness.

I think he knows. I saw a clip of Keotter on TV talking about putting Jameis back in because he's the future of the team and is going to be here longer than Keotter. .

They aren't going to fire DK midseason so why would he fire Mike Smith? Unless firing Mike Smith after the season is enough to save his job next season?

Read that on Twitter...

Gives the impression of a Coach hoping his players save his neck for him opposed to leading them towards success...
