Pipe Dream of Adding Le'Veon Bell

Postby BucaRican » Tue Sep 25, 2018 12:49 pm

Okay guys I will probably get slammed for even bring this up, but who cares. Yahoo put out a article about suitors for L. Bell, I think it would be a great addition because this Running game is horrible. RoJo can't even get on the field.

I personally would not mind giving up some assets to get him but the price of his contract is going to be a issue. I need some of you cap nerds to tell me why it couldn't work, or why it could.

It was addressed in a different thread yesterday, but no team is going to give much of anything up for Bell via trade.

Bell has made it clear he only plans to show up week 10 to mitigate injury risk so he can hit Free Agency healthy.

He has no interest in team success in 2018

Since he's on the FT and the deadline has passed for an extension NO team can sign him until the season is over, at which point he'll just wait for free agency.

He's a 6-7 game rental in 2018 and his attitude for this season is something I want no part of. But I'm fine if the Bucs kick the tires on Bell in free agency.

Pretty much yeah. The more I come to understand his situation, the less I would want to trade for him.

The rental isn't bad if the price is cheap enough due to the compensatory pick you'd get back when he signs elsewhere. It's just a matter of affording him this year and getting him to play. Unfortunately, I think if the Bucs traded for him, it would be with an eye to giving him a big contract as trading for him to use him and then let him walk is more of a Patriot move than a Buc move.

No. And I'm one of his biggest fans but right now no. His reasons to play or not play have nothing to do with winning a championship.
