No one is talking about Djax in concussion protocol? I just heard it on ESPN.

There's a discussion about every other aspect of the game outside of that. I just found it strange. Big piece to potentially not have against Philly.

So it's curious that Rojo was a healthy scratch for his first game. Guess it's not surprising as he was terrible during the preseason but concerning that they don't trust him enough to even add him to the gameday roster.

Certainly a big piece given the explosiveness we finally got to see from him. But this would mean more reps for Godwin and perhaps some more targets for Brate.

It's a #'s game when you get the active 46 on gameday. Wilson adds value as our kick returner, and we saw yesterday how important RBs being able to pick up blitzes was with how it allowed those big plays to hit over the top.

Not sure Rojo is there yet in terms of passpro so putting him out there in a loud road environment probably wasn't ideal

It's certainly not ideal for Rojo to be inactive when healthy (especially when a rookie undrafted RB is active), but it's week 1 of his rookie season. This will be an interesting situation to monitor for sure.

Love Godwin and Brate, but neither of them give our offense the explosiveness of DJax. We need him back against Philly.

Hopefully he will be. I agree DJax offers a dimension no other receiver on the roster does.

Just making the point this Bucs roster is loaded with weapons is there is any position we could absorb an injury it would be WR imo.

Djax on the field doing what he did makes this offense dangerous. Nothing against Brate or Godwin but they ain't Djax

Yes, D-Jax's combination of speed and deep-ball tracking can torch a defense at any moment like he showed yesterday. His ability affects a lot of things away from the ball as well since the defense has to be ready for him at all times. Easily our most explosive WR in the past 10 years.

DJax took the the momentum out of the building with that first big TD after Kamara destroyed our defense. That type of quick strike ability is near irreplaceable.

That got me thinking.

Who do you guys think was faster (and more explosive); Joey G or Djax?

I'll put my money on Joey G.

Joey Galloway was/is one of the fastest people on the planet. You simply weren't catching up to him once he pasted you.

Yeah, as explosive as DeSean is, Galloway just had more to burn and was more explosiveness from the get-go.

Look at 2:40 in this video. D-Jax is fast, but I think don't think he would've turned this into a 75-yard TD like Galloway did. Also, at the time Galloway was already 3 years older than Jackson is now.

Throughout the video you can see Galloway's explosiveness from ages 33 to 37. Very few receivers have rivaled his ability to flat-out run. In today's game, the only receiver that I can confidently say comes close to Galloway's speed and explosiveness is Tyreek Hill. Marquise Goodwin, Brandin Cooks, Ted Ginn might all have a say but I would bet on prime Galloway against any of them any day.

The Galloway highlight reel is nice and all but from memory it was quite difficult to consistently connect with the speedster, you have to be able to keep moving the chains and put it in the endzone.

To be fair, his best QB in Tampa was Jeff Garcia, who didn’t have the arm strength to get him the ball on his most dangerous routes on a consistent basis. Then you had Griese, Simms, and Gradkowski all tasked with doing the same thing. Simms may have been the best at getting him the ball deep downfield.

Names I'll be looking for will be JPP, Djax, VH3 based on Sunday. I know JPP returned to the game so I don't expect it to be anything serious.

Grimes as well since he apparently injured his groin in practice last Thursday or Friday. Not sure of the severity but soft tissue injuries on older skill position guys rarely heal quickly.

Of course we're still waiting to see if Vea is out there practicing with the team Wednesday. He's been working individually off to the side for a couple weeks now so I imagine he's got to be pretty close. I think we're going on week 5 with this injury that was projected to be 2-4 weeks.

Cameron Brate played 24 snaps Sunday and he’s not hurt. That’s 4 more than Djax played but as we know he was bothered by injury all game long. What exactly is Brate’s role in this offense going to be? This was my issue when we were discussing whether or not he’d be extended. OJ had almost twice as many snaps at 43. Hump and Godwin also outsnapped hm with 46 & 44 respectively. He also didn’t do much in the PS. Hopefully it doesn’t turn into a trend but we all pretty much knew OJ would take over eventually and that moment has seem to come already. That’s a lot of money for a backup TE.
