Chiefs are a great story, but they could weather a loss and still be fine. A win on primetime like this might give some needed attention to a good bengals team who has a good chance of being around later in the year. The "bengals overcoming their playoff woes" is going to be an easy, obvious story that'll hold a decent amount of attention come playoffs.

My bet is refs help the Bengals a little bit in this game. It won't be over the top though. If the Chiefs steamroll the Bengals its still a good story. Not much tweaking needed in this one, overall.

Ha! You covered all the bases. Nice wordplay. Very nice, indeed.

I like to leave it up to the reader to interpret what the mess of words really means :)

Interesting call in the Jags game, did they make the right one? Ramsey picked the ball off and got his left foot down in bounds, but his right hit the pylon. Is that in bounds like it is on a catch or run? Or out? Was ruled out, no challenge before they snapped it quick.

Didn’t have control of it at all while he was in the field of play. That’s why they didn’t bother to challenge.

Assuming a player did have control, is it in or out?

It would've been in because as you said he got his feet in. The pylon is an extension of the goal line. Would've been a TB and Jags ball.

Seattle Seahawks owner and Microsoft Co-Founder Paul Allen dies at age 65 from non-hodgkin's lymphoma. He was the richest owner in the NFL by a significant margin.

Does anyone have a rational answer as to why Football Outsiders has PJ Hall as a linebacker in their snap counts? 81 snaps, what is Gruden doing

What are the chances Beckham gets deactivated at some point (this season or in the future) a la Keyshawn in 2003? Assuming he keeps this up. None, slim, decent, inevitable, etc.?

Falcons continue to be decimated with injuries. RB Devonta Freeman placed on IR.

Good new for Tevin Coleman who is in a contract season.

That sucks for them. Coleman and Smith have looked good but they don't bring the thunder like Freeman.

Like Keyshawn was? None. They just gave him a massive extension. If I'm interpreting the numbers right, the Giants would take a $35 million dollar cap hit next year if he's not on the roster. Not a typo. The time to deal him was during the draft (FWIW, I think they could have easily gotten #9 from the 49ers for him.)

But could he be sat down for a game to think about things? Quite likely at this rate. Beckham needs to grow the hell up already. This is his 5th year in the league.

Full on deactivation and then a trade? Not likely, though certainly possible. That team needs a rebuild, and he would garner a lot of draft capital for them. Would not surprise me to see him suspended or deactivated for one or more games though.

The best player on the team is upset and very animated about it and the solution is to deactivate and trade him?? LMAO!

Yes that team needs a rebuild. BUT what you don't do is trade the best player on your team when you need a rebuild, you build around them. You certainly don't trade the best player who's only 25 years old and barely in his prime. Much like Mack, the draft capital you'd gain for trading a player like Beckham likely won't equate to what you get from Beckham.

No, I don't think he'll get "deactivated," and I don't think they could trade him if they wanted to because of his extension. I do think he's part of the problem on some level, for all his talent. As you say, he's their best player. When your best player is giving out passive-aggressive shade about the team and the quarterback, and when his sideline temper tantrums aren't even news anymore, that's being a problem himself, not simply being "animated" about a problem. He's making it worse and he needs to grow the hell up already. When you're winning, you can call it "being animated." When you're losing, keep your damn issues in-house, stop making a spectacle of yourself, and work on getting better.

You can talk about "in-house" all you want. Bottomline is on the field, he's not being put in a position to produce and as a result they are losing. It's not because he's mad and throwing tantrums. It's not because of passive-aggressive shade. It's because this team is not good enough, not playing well enough, not doing anything right.
