I would rather the Bucs waste the rest of their cap space on hookers and blow than sign Richie Incognito.

I think hookers and blow come with Incognito as a package deal.

True, but he has also retired once since last year.

I’d rather have Incognito than Sweezy. Neither will be here in 2019 anyway.

Incognito makes Warren Sapp look like Tony Dungy as a human being. Trading Richie Incognito horror stories is an active past-time in Lincoln. The only reasons you'd want someone like this on your team or in your city is if you're a hardcore "root for the laundry" type or you don't happen to know much about the guy. He's an embarrassment to humanity.

To be fair to incognito, hasn't Jonathan Martin proven to be a POS worthy of torment?

Yeah, he has, but that's how Incognito treats EVERYONE. You know that one guy who went to your school, and he wasn't quite a "throw you in a locker" type bully, but he just went out of his way to make everyone else feel really intimidated and uncomfortable at all times? That's how Incognito interacts with pretty much everyone. And if you said something he didn't like, or refused to take his crap, he'd have no problem with threatening you or, if you were at work, messing up your store/restaurant like a toddler. These stories are really common from his Lincoln days.

The Martin thing came out simply because it was another NFL player and most NFL players would have punched him in the mouth. So, like most bullies, he found somebody who couldn't handle it and kept after him.

I'm not sure one way or another, but he aways has a group of teammates that defend him, whether in Miami or Buffalo. Most in Miami defended Incognito over Martin if I remember correctly. He can't be all bad.

My experiences? No. There wasn't a ton of overlap for him and I in Lincoln. It's based on being married to a guy who had to deal with him regularly in his job, and having family and friends who had to deal with him, and commonly shared stories that all sound very similar regarding how he treated people. It's a college town. You know who the turds on the team are. If you polled Lincoln on the worst dude they had to deal with in their lives, Richie would be the runaway winner. It'd be easier to find folks to stick up for Lawrence Phillips. We HATE to throw Huskers under the bus, but if you bring up his name in a crowded bar, you'll hear a dozen stories about how big an ***hole he was.

Maybe he's changed, I guess? 15+ years is a long time. But dudes like him don't usually change.

They didn't want him to retire in the first place, but I assume all of his comments about his pain, liver and kidneys shutting down, other stuff he said in his retirement statement would make people want to shy away from him.

We’ve been so soft for so long I’d gladly welcome Incognito in for a couple years. POS or not it’s football and you can’t win with a team full of choir boys. We targeted Jensen, Allen, and Unrein in large part for their toughness and the attitude they display on the field.

Meaner the better when it comes to the trenches.

Wrong, the Bills didn't want him to retire in the first place.

Your Incognito hate is funny. Like someone mentioned he's had many teammates support him, while others have not. He's certainly a polarizing guy, but you're going a bit too far unless you have had some kind of personal relationship with him.

I judge him more for the immature player he was early in his NFL career w/ the Rams than anything that happened in the Jonathan Martin saga.

Just got off the phone with the Boca Raton police department. Richie Incognito had the police called on him, there was no arrest made, but he is now under what they call the Baker Act, which is involuntary mental evaluation. No police report filed just yet.

Report: Richie Incognito held by police after incident at gym

Josh Alper

Richie Incognito is an NFL free agent after being released by the Bills this week, but he’s reportedly been held by police after an incident in Florida on Wednesday.

TMZ reports that law enforcement sources confirmed Incognito has been placed in an involuntary hold for a mental evaluation after police were called to a gym to intervene during an altercation between Incognito and another man.

The alleged victim told TMZ Incognito threw a tennis ball for no reason and followed up by throwing a dumbbell at him as well. Incognito was allegedly “rambling about the government and screaming at the man to ‘get off my f*cking playground'” while this was going on.

Incognito sought treatment for mental health issues in Arizona in 2014 after he smashed his own car with a baseball bat.

Sounds stable.

Not to mention the whole being "Baker Acted" thing.

That's neither here nor there...

Dude needs help. Mental illness is nothing to joke about (except for here, of course).

The Buffalo News wrote an article about Incognito. Here is a brief version. Incognito stated that he was just training and that there was a guy walking around with headphones on. He claimed he was running NSA class level 3 documents through his phone and that he couldn't have anybody in Blue-tooth capability of him.
Jay Skurski a reporter for the Buffalo News asked Incognito to tell him about his phone and the governments involvement. He also asked why the government was trying to watch him. Incognito's answers were as followed. He said he couldn't talk about it because he is under contract and that Skurski didn't have a high enough security clearance. Incognito also told officers that he took a supplement called "Shroom Tech."
