If you knew you had the next Brent Grimes back there would you use the 255th pick to get him?

If I knew? I would have taken him much earlier

Yep, thats a pretty stupid question, lol. Like "if you knew you could get Tom Brady, would you draft him in the fifth?"

Lolmdbwut.

Anyway, at 2.06 here's my order of preference:

Will Hernandez
Derrius Guice
Nick Chubb
Josh Jackson
Isaiah Oliver
Connor Williams

I think Hernandez is too good to pass up and the corners/RBs are similar talents, but think we find a much better corner than RB in the 50s.

I like that list. Any of those would be great. Harold Landry also.

Landry is fool's gold to me. Speed rusher that's a little light in the ass. His game is much more finesse than power.

The Bleacher Report hack says we should draft “our TE of the future” Mike Geiseki at 56.

No thanks.

We could plug 3 big holes tonight. Come on, Licht.

I don't think he fits what we wanna do/build anyway...in fact, Noah Spence is looking like the odd man out on our current roster...

Hubbard (OSU) or Green (USC) look more like "our kinda DE".... bigger, more powerful guys..

Yeah I saw that and eye rolled. Maybe if we planned to run an all-TE offense

Just 30 minutes til we kick it off again. OL and a DB are pretty much a must but in a way I wanna see us get greedy and take a DE. If Key is available then take him. I know he converted to LB but let's just say "**** it" and let him rush opposite of JPP or let him play as a hyrbid LB/DB. The versatility would help if we want to dabble in some 3-4 formations this year. We need to get back to better defense as the primary catalyst to our success.

Let's keep in mind that we went 9-7 (and could've been better) with Rodgers getting 560 yards and Martin getting 421. I think we can platoon Rodgers, Barber and Sims enough to get about 1,200-1,400 yards rushing. It won't spell Winston much, but let's remember that better defense will significantly reduce the amount of times Winston will have to throw due to time constraints. For shits and giggles lets pretend we're down 3-0. If your defense just gave up an 80 yard 8 minute drive then you've got less than half a quarter to work with to get back those 10 points. But now pretend we ACTUALLY have a competent D for a minute. We give up 3 and then a 45 yard drive for 4 minutes that went nowhere. There's less onus to hurry. We can afford to try and control the ball now.

I know I'm not spouting a popular opinion by passing on a RB but I wouldn't be saying it if I didn't think a better philosophical approach to how we manage the game due to defensive execution wouldn't fix that issue from the inside with the guys we already have.

I don't think oline is a must. Just get the best talent at CB, S, RB, EDGE, or Oline. We shouldn't have to reach to do that.

This may not be popular, but I want Jackson over Hernandez, but ultimately don't think Jackson makes it to us.

If you were going to gamble with the last second round pick, would you prefer Arden Key or Josh Sweat?

Ok, so now that our second round is over, quick summary of likes and dislikes.

Like, we addressed two positions of real need.
Dislikes, we likely settled rather than getting players we wanted. Would we have been better with an OL instead of 2 DBs..... only time will tell.

What leads you to believe Licht didn’t get the players he wanted?
