I'm not very high on this year's group. I'd add someone on Saturday but I don't see the value there tonight personally. That 300 carry, 1200 yard back everyone wants isn't in this draft IMO.

I wouldn't mind if they bypassed RB on day 2. Perhaps get a guy like Royce Freeman or swing on a guy like Kalen Ballage at the top of the 4th.

Conner Williams makes a lot of sense. Can play tackle or guard. Maybe play LG move Ali back right. Play LT move Smith in. Eventually replace Dotson. Lots of options.

Cardinals, Bills, Bengals, Broncos, Texans, Chiefs, Giants, and 49ers all have multiple 3rd round picks. I'd still like Licht to use two of our 2nds and find a way to get a couple of 3rds with the other.

I disagree.

That fourth rounder will add valuable depth somewhere. We pick sixth in the second round, and unless Licht does something stupid, we will be selecting a talent who is a borderline first rounder already.

We still have the other two 2nd picks and we use Cleveland’s 2nd rd pick .
It works out with the trade chart and we still draft three 2nd rd picks . We just give up our 4th .

I think it would make sense to leapfrog the Colts, since I think it's a given they are going to go defence back to back.

I honestly have been too busy to keep up with the prospects this year, but I'd like to see OG and CB address in the 2nd.

Could get starters at CB, Guard and Safety in with those second rounders. I’m hoping we stay put and do that

Ditto on both accounts

Maybe a S or another DE or OT with the 3rd Pick

You guys wouldn’t be happy if we gave up one our 2nd rd selections for Earl Thomas?

I couldn't count on him being anything more than a one year rental. A 2nd is pricey.

I would probably prefer to keep Evans where is, because that's what he excelled at last year. Thomas is probably good enough to play whereever he wants as a safety.

The Bucs have 9-12 million dollars in cap space right now, depending on your source. Signing all of our rookies will cost about $8 million. Earl Thomas's cap hit is $10.4 million.

Not a chance in hell I'd trade for Thomas. We can't afford it. Even if we do a few obvious cuts, like JR Sweezy and Ryan Griffin, we still couldn't afford it, not unless you start cutting starters.

Very true.. I’d be very pleased with a josh Jackson, guice\ jones, Ronnie Harrison, Reid haul here in the 2nd.

Regarding the thought to trade some of the 2nd round picks to move up, I would illustrate it the same way as Roulette - I would prefer to spread my chips all across the board and increase my chances of winning something as opposed to betting more on one or two spots on the board.

If we have 3 picks in the second round, we have a good chance that 2 of those 3 turn into good players for us. If we reduce that to 2 picks, the chances are it would only be one of them. And, as we've shown, have one pick in the second round with the guy making the picks......Well, could be Green Zeros.

Stay where we are and draft the needs if they are there, if not, take the best player on the board.

Nope, doesn't fit our cap situation. Who are we not re-signing and/or releasing to make room? Nothing against Earl Thomas.

We need young talented players on cheap rookie contracts. Day 2 is the best place to find those guys usually.

Really want to get a CB at 38. Oliver would be ideal for the Bucs imo. Jackson would be nice also. Those two + Guice and Henandez are my top 4 going into day 2.

Harold Landry would be amazing also.

38 - Landry
53 - Guice
56 - Oliver

Then grab Wyatt Teller from VTech tomorrow to start off round 4.

I think that would have to go in reverse order. I read earlier that both Guice and Landry were dropping due to medical issues.

When we traded down with Buffalo, we gave up our 7th round pick?

Per Greg Auman yesterday...
Tampa Bay still has the No. 12 pick in the draft, but picked up No. 53 and No. 56, trading back their compensatory seventh-round pick, No. 255, to the Bills.

The real value in those real late picks are you get to own the rights to that player, in effect you cancel out any team throwing extra cash at a player to get them on their team.

If you knew you had the next Brent Grimes back there would you use the 255th pick to get him?
