I didn't say players and coaches should try to lose. Fans shouldn't be rooting for meaningless wins. Two completely different concepts. Fans have no power to directly influence wins and losses. I'm sure back on December 24th 2006 the "YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!" crowd was pretty pumped up. I'd rather have had the draft capital.
