I imagine after a decade of getting owned by pass rushers, it would seem even more attractive.

It's likely that the NFL will release the preseason schedule this week with the regular season schedule next week.

The addition of Detroit to the pre-season schedule is interesting.

Why release the schedule if you can't do better than a 5 day spread for game day?

Nothing wrong with it. At this point in time it's more important to know who the team is playing and which week (particularly week 3)

This.

I don’t recall them ever not releasing the day and times before. Wonder if they’re going to pull this for the regular season schedule release too, which should be next week.

Important? Does it really matter to you that they play TEN PS2 instead of PS1?

lol, like we'd ever get a November bye. Better change that to October, if not September (never forget).

It doesn’t matter hugely, but it matters more than knowing the date they will play them. Week one starters play little, week 2 a bit more, week 3 a lot, week 4 likely not at all. ( I assumed you knew that, but there it is in case you didn’t) Which is why it is more important (note that importance is relative, not absolute) . I don’t need to know the exact date and time four months out.

Just got a BR update that said Dot had knee surgery last week?..WTF

Said he'd miss OTAs....

But our oldest OL, at our thinnest OL position, having knee surgery is kind of scary...

Haven't they been saying that every year for the last twenty years?

April hurricane predictions are worthless. Last year the predictions in April were that 2017 was going to be a below average year, and we all know how that went. lol

This year, CSU is predicting only a slightly-above-average season.

I think they make their predictions based on projected El Nino/La Nina (Pacific water temps) and how strong/weak they think they will be. So if they're predicting more hurricane activity in the Atlantic/Caribbean, then they think there will be a strong, La Nina this season. If course, if La Nina turns out to be much weaker than they predict, that should translate to less hurricane activity. While they're really good at predicting when there will be an El Nino or La Nina, they've pretty much sucked at predicting their strength.

The Broncos are releasing CJ Anderson, which I'm mentioning in this thread because it seems like a signing Licht would make. Two weeks from the draft, established veteran cut, major position of need, would win him cheap applause...yep.

On the surface, yeah. But we have $12 million in cap space, and about $7 million of that is going to be our rookies. I don't think we are signing a free agent worthy of note anytime soon. I wouldn't expect any signings until after the draft. Maybe after a cut or two, Sweezy being the most likely candidate.

What makes the cutting of Anderson more interesting to me is that if Barkley falls to five, I think it's a high probability that he is a Bronco. CJ Anderson accounted for over half their rushing total last year, and giving Keenum a reliable multipurpose back would help him tremendously.

In more important news other than MJWs attemped trolling, OTAs start today and players are already in the building. Noah Spence looks more muscular, Desean Jackson showed up in the Lambo and not his pickup, Kwon Alexander's hair is still red.

Barkley at 5 to the Broncos makes alot more sense now looking at their roster. But the Broncos had ALWAYS been that team that devalues the RB position and just plugs a guy in. In fact they may be the franchise that has had the most to do with the devalued market of RBs. Elway is still the brainstrust there and he keeps Kubiak around to consult with so drafting Barkley would be somewhat of a shift for that franchise.

They could still use a Guard like Nelson (who couldn't) or maybe go QBOTH if their guy falls since Case Keenum is on a 2yr deal w/ a 1yr out for the team.

Spence looks jacked. If that kid can stay healthy for 13+ games for the the Bucs defense it could really provide a big boost for the pass rush along with the other offseason additions of Curry and JPP. Put those 3 w/ McCoy and the Bucs Dline should be cooking on 3rd & 5+.

Dirk stated that Spence is up to 257lbs when he spoke at the owners meetings, which is pretty impressive for him. He certainly looks to be wearing the muscle well.

He does look bigger. I think it's necessary for him if for no other reason than to stay healthy. But I don't think the FO is all in on him. If he's outplayed he's gone. He hasn't done much of anything thus far. And we've been adding players to the position he plays. Spence will have to compete for his job.
