A loss is a loss is a loss.

Fitz had two interceptions, but his performance was better then Winston's and better the Koetters.

I liked what I saw from Fitz, but there is no controversy. He's about to be 35 years old, you don't bench a 23 year old with upside this early for someone that old. If Fitz is starting at QB in Buffalo next Sunday it's because doctors don't think Winston should play. I'm not happy with Jameis' development, but we have to see it through and not Gruden it by saying screw it just throw in the old vet. Besides, despite all the good things we saw from Fitz he still had that garbage INT at the 1 that was the ultimate nail in our coffin for the day. We were in position to make it a game and instead he threw it out of reach.

Year 3 and it still needs to mature.

I understand Fitz threw the INT’s and I still hope Winston is our answer but Fitz looked like he had better control of the offense today. Maybe Winston needs to sit a couple games and watch, remember he didn’t have the luxury to learn when he came in as a rookie

Fitz had those checkdown options more often it felt like. He played well but that pick on the one yard line lost us the game. And it's not like Winston hasn't been known to comeback in a blowout win to make the score look decent.

Maybe we should take a look at how we call plays when it's a close and and when it's a blowout.

I'm pretty sure he will be good to go, I believe they took him out as a precaution with the score being 21-0.. he looked fine throwing those balls on the sideline. I think if we score after the grimes int he goes back in.

He had one great pass.. The long TD to Evans.. Most everything else due to prevent defense and more competent play calling instead of incomplete deep pass, run, short gain, punt. DK needs to stop wasting djax on deep routes and use him on slants and screens

The difference is in their experience. Fitz is experienced enough to take what is there and play within the system. Jameis has far more natural talent, but tries way too hard to be superman. Hopefully Jameis can take that step. He'll be dangerous if he ever does.

Its the same playbook. Just because someone chooses not to use the checkdowns doesn't mean they aren't there.

I disagree. Our scheme changed rather dramatically with the Harvard Hero taking snaps.
