Looks like our bet is gonna be voided, Dread.

I guess we'll know for sure in a week or so.

Meanwhile Beardmcdoug and I have a bet! I wa easy on him per his request

If Beardmcdoug wins the the bet (Giants win on 10/1), Ive got to make my sig a Donald Trump picture (of his choice of) through the end of 2017, so Oct, Nov and Dec

When I win, within a 30 day period he has to select 5 of my posts in offtopic and sincerely elaborate on why my point has merit -without any caveats or counter points of his own.

Let the games begin!

So you want a man to explain your own points? I think there's a word for that...

If they sign Cutler, you should keep the bet going! What could go wrong?

Yeah, but now Cutler has Adam Gase so he'll be All Pro this season.

There are three receiving statistics from which all the others are derived:

Receiving yards
Receptions
Receiving touchdowns

I am willing to wager that Chris Godwin has more of all three than DeSean Jackson by the end of the regular season.

So just out of curiosity, would that make Godwin our leading WR or would him putting up better numbers than Djax simply make Djax 3rd fiddle assuming Mike is #1?

I think Mike is undoubtedly our #1. I see the justification in cheb's wager - Djax is a receiver that is going to be very timing based and would do better, IMO, with a QB with lazer accuracy, like a Drew Brees. I think he's still going to do wonders for this offense with just being there, and will probably catch a few bombs from Winston. But Godwin's play style (at least seems so) to lend itself well with Winston's QB style - he's wider target who might be able to adjust to Winston's throws a bit better. I could see Godwin coming in just a hair over Djax, statwise, too... I wouldn't bet on it though ;)

but make no mistake. Evans is THE guy for Winston. He's a perfect match and the sky is the limit for those two

Godwin will be a guy that will be tough to keep off the field. I love Hump and he certainly has a role in the slot taking advantage of his quickness vs underneath zones. But Godwin has the size/skillset that allows him to do things that Hump can't.

Throughout camp we've seen Evans and DJax line up all over the place including the slot. We've also seen alot of our '12 personnel' (1RB-2TE) lined up in 4 and 5 WR formations with either Evans or Djax in the slot. I see Godwin being used as a primary sub to keep BOTH Evans and Djax fresh while also sharing the field with them both in 3 and/or 4 WR sets.

I don't know that Godwin will be more productive than DJax since Djax will get more snaps and targets imo. For that to happen I think DJax will have to miss a few games w/ an injury.

Just like I embarrassed her in a 2015 wager....it's time for Maryjane and Sanka part 2.

I can't dig up the crybaby sig I had made up for the last time people bet against me. I think it was when we were having a rough start to the season and every post was about hot badly the Saints were going to destroy us.

I will, so long as I can still root my ass off for the Bucs to win this game. :-)

Of course you can.

Straight up pick em'. Bucs win, I win. Bucs lose or tie, I lose.

Since you and I frequent Political discussion, let's make the wager applicable to that forum. Since the game is in early October, lets say that for the remainder of the month of October if I win you get a Bernie Sanders avatar of my choosing, and if you win I get the Donald Trump avatar of your choosing. (Stone Cold won't mind taking a break) Images must be SFW and expire on November 1st.

savvy?
