**OFFICIAL BUCS 2017 TRAINING CAMP THREAD**

Postby DreadNaught » Mon Jul 24, 2017 9:32 am

PSA - This aggregate thread is intended for logistics, photos, and daily updates for the most part. Some discussion will come off that, but if there is a topic that you'd to discuss (camp battles, player performance in TC, etc) I highly encourage the you PLEASE make a separate thread.

That said Rookies report tomorrow (Tuesday 7/25) and the first practice of camp is this Friday!!! I've posted the schedule below and here is list of prohibited items here.

Stay hydrated, keep your son hydrated. Other than that it's pretty straightforward. Most of the seats are pretty good.

Bucs announce that DE Jacquies Smith is on active-PUP list as he recovers from knee surgery. Can be activated anytime before September.

Jaq was injured in week 1 @Atlanta last season.

All #Bucs rookies have reported and passed physicals and are full go for training camp.PUP list as he recovers from knee surgery. Can be activated anytime before September.

Great news for rookie LB Kendall Beckwith who coincidently also suffered a similar knee injury in October of last season.

All remaining players (Vets) report tomorrow!!! First practice is Friday. Per NFL rules the pads can't come on until the 3rd practice iirc.

Would it be safe to say, the only speed rushers we have on our roster now are Smith and Spence?

And!

They are both coming off injuries from last season that may prevent them from being as good as they once was.

Are the Bucs going to leave Chris Bakers classification as a DE?

Who will be the next player to deliver a crushing block like the one we saw from Alan Cross last year?

Matter of fact, I may have to go all the way back to Sapps cheap shot to remember a more bone jarring block from any of the Buc players.

Post one if ya got it...

I mean, I don't think it really matters. I know Mike Smith likes to move guys around situationally. We could see Baker play some DE on running downs. Why not? He can actually rush the passer a bit. Stick him out there, with McCoy and Gholston/McDonald/Stevie T and it could be a good look.

Probably we'll probably keep one 4th TE/Situational FB type on the roster.

Yes. Because of the classification, Baker is not allowed to play any other position but DE which will limit the Bucs options with him.

Only thing of note that he really said was when they asked him what he's learned from last year that he's improving upon now:

"Just taking what they give me. I'm a passionate guy and I like to stretch it down the field. But I left so much out there with the 3 yard gains, the 4 yard gains. I just need to take what they give me"

GMFB absolutely loves our Bucs. They've been on the bandwagon for at least a year if not longer.
