I think Aguayo will be waived today or Monday if they can't do it on a Saturday. Regardless, I don't think he's on the team by preseason game #2.

Despite my previously stated opinions, I wouldn't cut Aguayo just yet.

What it comes down to. If you want to throw up every time your kicker trots on the field, no matter how easy the kick, it's time for a new kicker.

They need to find someone other than Folk as well. What an abject disaster, having to focus on this.

How many more chances does he need?

Just get it done already.

Aguayo has shown little, if any, progression since last year. He's still inconsistent as hell(in both games and practices), he still struggles with angles on short kicks, and his longer kicks are still not even close. The only thing he does better than Folk is kickoffs.

We'll keep him until final cuts but I don't see how he beats Folk.

Either way, we need to find consistency at the position. If Folk wins the job, that'll be 6 kickers in the past 5 seasons. For a position that's supposedly so easy to find a serviceable guy, we can't find anyone

Aguayo can be lights out all TC and preseason, yet a couple of key misses week 1, and we're all on suicide watch.

It didn't even have to wait until week 1. Preseason game 1 and everyone's ready to cut him lol.

I just saw a Stroud tweet on BR that says we released Bobby?

Anyone else see this too?

PR reporting it too. Buh bye Berto. Curious to see whther we sign another kicker to battle Folk or if he's simply given the job.

Kicker news: The #Bucs have released former 2nd round pick Roberto Aguayo after last night's misses.

Lmao! So even if he hits the rest of his kicks all the FO will focus on is the 1 missed XP in the 1st PS game. You can't make this stuff up. Casuals are such idiots. Dumbest thing I've read all off-season. **** coaching the guy and hoping for improvement. He missed a kick 4 weeks ago so we're cutting him now. LMAO!

So after arguing with a dozen posters about why Folk is the better option than Aguayo for several pages, that's the post you leech onto?

And ya, I wouldn't have cut him yet- I like the idea of competition at every position.

Nice try. You were basically implying that the FO would look past a few missed kicks and ridiculing others for accurately predicting he'd be let go.

Sounds like the thoughts of a casual...

Nope. The discussion here was about the missed XP and Aguayo possibly making every kick between that one and the next 3 games. Like I said, if you were smart you'd see that. But you're not so you can't.

This is about burning the draft pick. This is about somehow trying to get some redemption if the kid has a good season.

Had another GM brought him in the kid would have been cut last year.

Thanks for coming to town, train leaves in an hour Folk.

Apparently this post is almost completely i error in every possible way.

Bobby said he was "unlucky" on his misses. Unlucky?? Unlucky?? I think I've been one of the more patient fans when it comes to Aguayo, but trying to frame misses as a matter of luck and thus out of your control is simply an indefensible bitch move. I probably would've still let the battle play out three more weeks, if nothing else to still push Folk, but he lost all respect with that comment.
