It would spell the end of the Licht/Koetter era. At the very least Licht is gone. 2 head coaches in 4 years, no playoffs, and a worse record than the year before.

No way. They'd chuck it up to a bad season, but you don't fire a second year HC because he didn't improve from last years record unless he loses the locker room or has some **** fest with his staff. And you wouldn't fire Licht either unless there is some tension between him and DK or ownership. I can't think of a single time a GM has been fired when they kept the HC when the GM was on good terms with everyone. The only time that happens is if the HC starts pointing the finger at the GM ownership agrees. As of now there's no reason to think DK would do that to JL, they are in step together which is exactly what you want from your GM.

Dec. 24, at Panthers, 1 p.m. 28-3 W (9-6)
Dec. 31, SAINTS, 1 p.m. 24-10 W (10-6)

Our offense is going to take some time to gel, but we squeek by with 3 wins to start the season thanks to a weak opening 3 weeks

Our learning curve gets exposed against three very good teams, the Patriots, Giants, Cardinals, and we drop 3 straight

We start to get into our groove and win 3 out of 4 of the next games heading into the bye, getting wins against a mediocre Bills team, the Panthers at RayJay, and a terrible Jets team. We lose to the Saints in the superdome just like we always do

Rested, we eek one out against Atlanta after the bye, lose at Lambeau, get dealt a surprise loss against the Lions at home, but Jameis bounces back and continues his Falcon-slaying on Monday night the following week. With the Monday Night win, the Bucs have "arrived", and ride that high to two solid wins over the Panthers and Saints to punch their ticket to the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade

8-8 seems legit...and the "firing of everybody" scenario seems a bit far-fetched. if 8-8 were to happen.

Our secondary is a legit problem. Even without injuries. Everyone wants to focus on their production over the last half of the year but we are talent STARVED there AND relying on a 34 year old CB to have ANOTHER career year. Highly doubtful.

As constructed, this team is no juggernaut. Maybe we outscore opponents but that philosophy hasn't done NO any favors over the last several years.

We also have a legit tough schedule. Sure...we have some cupcakes (NYJ/CHI)...but it's no cake-walk.

I'm just ready to go into a season where we actually have some expectation of real success. It's been a while since we've been here.

Keep things in perspective in that poor excuse of a brain. This isnt what would Bootz do. This is the Glazers we're talking about here. They aren't afraid of changing regimes. They've made it clear, get to the playoffs or get gone. A drop in record in addition to no playoffs is all but a guarantee that they'll can you. Don't believe me, ask Raheem Morris, Greg Schiano, Mark Dominik. Hell Lovie Smith improved by 4 games and still got canned. And in Jason Licht' s own words when they fired Lovie "we've been patient enough".

No more Sundays without football for a while! Get your final predictions in! I have decided to include a prize for this years winner - these can be made either male or females: Buc's Earrings or Bucs keychain or Bucs bracelet.

And remember in order to win the prizes you much predict the win/loss of each individual game NOT just the final win/loss record.

Winner will be determined by how many individual games predicted correctly NOT the prediction of our total season record.

I'm going with 7-9. **** happens and we are not deep enough to overcome "**** happens" yet. And unless we get that lights out defense we had last year, I don't see us doing better than last year. And plus we're about 2 injuries away on the defense from "Well this year is fucked."

But if we stay healthy, defense plays like it did last year and catch a few lucky breaks then we can conceivably win up to 11 games.
