Interesting, the Redskins just signed Stacy McGee to a bigger deal than what we gave Baker.

Oh, no sir. That well will NEVER run dry.

And just on the off chance it does, don't let it distract you from the fact that the Atlanta Falcons blew a 25 point lead in the super bowl.

And don't let that distract you from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16ft through an announcers table.

What does that prove? Only that he had a steel chair, which is perfectly legal.

I live in Virginia and Redskins fans are losing it. They say lots of good things about Baker. Said he's never had anything like Gerald next to him before. He should thrive. This is such a good signing.

This is also an excellent signing. I love our DTs, but we needed some beef. We needed some more nasty. I look forward to this guy and Ayers setting the tone for the whole D.

We added beef, with an attitude and SKILLS...

Spence wasn't small (306lbs) and he was probably the strongest guy on the team..he also played a bit angry..

But he was just a powder keg with arms..hard to move/turn...but he didn't scare anyone as far as making a play..

Baker gives us a legit beast down in the trenches..a slobbering, foaming at the mouth beast..

Love this signing. He's a load in the middle and he has a little bit of pass rush too. As I'm sure somebody else pointed out, PFF loves him.

We've quietly build a really nice, versatile defensive line. We've got run-stuffers, pass-rushers, young guys, and vets. It's a really good group. We can throw 7 guys out there right now who have shown they can impact a game in various ways.

The next guy to fight the upward battle.

I’m told one prospect that has really intrigued teams is Albany State (Georgia) defensive lineman Grover Stewart.

Stewart is a specimen measuring 6-feet/4.5-inches and 340lbs. Last week during training at XOS Pensacola he was timed at a 5.05s in the forty. Later, during bench press testing, I’m told Stewart added two big plates to the bar increasing the weight from 225lbs to 315lbs. He then proceeded to complete 17 reps. His personal best at 225lbs is in the high 30’s and his goal for pro-day or at the combine, should he receive an invitation, is in the mid 40’s.

Our DL has the potential to be special.

I think the Baker signing may be just as impactful for the defense as DeSean will be for the offense. He's not just a big body to occupy space. He's an impact player. I don't know if McCoy has truly played with an actual impact player next to him on the inside. And if McCoy & Baker do their jobs, that'll leave plenty of opportunities for Spence, Ayers, Gholston, Smith, etc. If Spence continues to develop into the elite pass rusher we all think, teams will have to pay more attention to him, which will give some space to Baker/McCoy.

Noah Spence
Robert Ayers
Will Gholston
Chris Baker
Gerald McCoy
Jaq Smith

I'd be shocked if Spence and/or McCoy don't get at least 10 sacks this season.
