I'd take Hue as our OC in a heartbeat...

Or get him as a positional coach. That where he fell back to after his stint in Oakland, and Raheem did as well, and Rod Marinelli after Detriot.

Whats really crazy is that they have had 1 win since 12/13/2015.

We were 0-26. They are currently 1-28 (and counting).

Since the beginning of 2015 they are 4-38 (and counting).

This thread really does make you feel better. :drinkingcheers:

There's nothing I love more, as a Bucs fan, than pre-snap motion. :banghead:

I'm not sure who is to blame for this, but that entire group's fate was sealed when they completely botched the QB position this offseason.

I'm not going to kill them for passing on Wentz OR Watson. You watch tape, you have guys in, you debate, you come to conclusions about guys and their future and what's best for your franchise. Obviously they weren't in love with either guy. It's easy to mock them for that, but every single team passes on multiple great players every single draft.

What I will kill them for is going into this year without a better option than Kizer to start, and without any real veteran option at all. Kizer was something like a 48% passer last year in college, and even his own coach said he's not ready to start in the NFL. The Browns draft him (which isn't the problem) and hand him the job despite him not looking remotely ready (which is.) They don't really bring in a veteran who can even compete for it, despite not having anyone on the roster except a very limited Cody Kessler and an even more limited Kevin Hogan. I have no idea how you let that happen.

They've built a really talented roster in Cleveland at a number of positions - RB, TE, OL, and all over the defense. So to hand the QB job to a guy who shouldn't even be dressing at this point of his career...when they all get fired, that'll be why.

The Browns could quietly be 0-20 by year's end with losses dating back to week 14 last season...the start of the streak. Is our record safe?? Is 0-26 in jeopardy? I haven't looked but do the Browns play the Giants this year? LOL

Their remaining schedule:
Jacksonville - Highly doubtful
Cincy - possible but probably not
LAChargers - possible. Not playing great. Cleveland's 2016 win.
Green Bay - Without A-A-ron, maybe, but I'd still say probably not.
Baltimore - nah
Chicago - probably not, their defense has been playing well
Pittsburgh - nah

I like them to beat either the Bengals or Chargers, or both. I don't think the Bengals are mentally tough at all. And the Chargers were their lone win last year. I think they'll take one of those games.

Indeed. If I was a betting man I'd take them NOT going 0-16. I'll take a team trying to avoid that embarrassment playing hard till the end over a team that's given up on the season any day.

If the Browns go 0-16 and have a 20 game losing streak as a franchise this offseason it'll be interesting to follow next season as they chase down one of the most dubious Bucs records in NFL history.

It would be nice to let another franchise have that record.

I'm all for it. We can always hang our hats on the fact we did it to start a franchise. Those days are forever gone I think. Look at Las Vegas Knight...crazy.

Sadly, I was hoping the Browns would have a good year. All the hype on their amazing draft and a lot of talent already on the team.

I guess I love an underdog. Kinda have to in order to be Bucs fan :banghead:

When you look at their remaining the schedule I think the most likely games they could win is against the Bengals (they've been boom or bust), Chargers (they find ways to lose games), and the Steelers (last game of the season they might rest players). So based on the Browns' play this season I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they ended up losing every game they have left, but generally these teams manage to sneak a win somewhere along the line. I'm just glad we aren't on their schedule because knowing us we'd be that team!

If I'm not mistaken if the Browns win a game and end the season in a three way tie with the Giants and 49ers, the Browns would retain the top pick based on strength of schedule. For them to lose the top pick they would need two wins and the 49ers and/or Giants to not win another game. So unless something unexpected happens and the Browns grab a couple of wins, they are going to have the top overall pick even if they win another game.

Don't you have to wait until the end of the season to do SOS calculations? I haven't looked, but pre-week 11 seems kind of early.

Dating back to week 13 of 2014 when lost their final 5 games the Browns are 4-43.

2015: 3-13
2016: 1-15
2017: 0-10....

That is alot of losing. Reminds me if the mid-late 80's Bucs. Even the 0-26 team to start the franchise got things going to where they got more 4 wins in the franchises first 47 games (we won 10), but the 0-26 start must have sucked. But there is no reason for teams to be that bad these days with how the rules have leveled the playing field.

It's really hard to believe that a team could have a record that bad in today's NFL.
