MODS - can this be moved? Where's that forum where they talk about how many left-handed TV stars are called Julio?

This is a perfect thread for the sewing circle club downstairs, a thread about clothes would be perfect for those *******.

This is the BIG BOY area. Get 'er done.

The main function of numbers is to identify players. These numbers fail at their most important role.

They are not even close to as bad as ours.

It's not just the numbers. Changing them and the Uniforms would still look tacky AF. Ghetto fab.

I don't agree. Change the numbers and they're fine. Not great, not even good, but passable.

I still just don’t see the big deal about the uniforms. Are they perfect.. no. Are some of the numbers a little goofy? Sure. The color scheme and style of the jerseys aren’t bad though.

Our uniforms are the football equivalent of the 60 year old lady with 6 inch rhinestone pumps, leopard-pattern tights, and a feather boa. They are what people with no taste like

Finally somebody within the organization suggests our old uniforms were actually the right uniforms. :)

It is a great uniform but more importantly, the team is just as bad as most of the 80's/90's teams.

The Bears will get to wear 5 different home uniforms this year. The dilholes at One Buc can't even get one uniform right.

I find it funny that you can take any random group of Bucs fans, whether this board, any of the others, talk to people in public, whatever, and you get consistent results. Some are okay with the uniforms, some are indifferent, but by and large, the vast majority of any given group of people think they suck. Somehow, some way, a think tank at One Buc sat around - with their contracted design team - and reached the exact opposite conclusion. How does that happen?

Exactly, Kress. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt (really) but it’s not a small **** up. The jersey is such an integral part of the brand and appeal to young casuals.

Rebranding the aesthetics and updating the stadium from 2002 would inject some juice in this org’s appeal.

Sometimes when you are trying to be "cutting edge" on design, you fail miserably....

They tried to be cutting edge like Seattle, except it didn’t work and the team has been awful while wearing them.

Should’ve just been a modest update to the old uniforms last go around. But I think Bucs brass knows the consensus isn’t a fan and will change it in the next couple of years.

I would like to see the old orange uniforms brought back... but I would settle for the 99 uniforms too. The current ones suck.

I think this is an underrated part of things. The uniforms are hideous, have always been hideous, and will always be hideous.

But if we'd made four playoffs trips the last five years or something, would we care that they're ugly? If 1997-2002 had been as bad as 2003-2013, would we be pining for the reds to come back?

I have almost universally negative feelings about the last five years in Bucs football. That's not a factor in the uniforms being ugly, but it's certainly a factor in how much I hate them.

I'm not pining for those dull things to come back, but no people would not be.

Search this thread and see how many hits you get on the word "creamsicle." That's in addition to the number you would get for "orange," but it's even more compelling to use the dessert-on-a-stick approach.

God damn. Looking back at our older uniforms, both the creams and the most recent ones, and there was just so much more character to them. Very uniquely Buccaneers without trying too hard.

These new ones try extremely hard to be sleek and unique and end up ugly and forgettable.

People will say it’s just remembering the past favorably but I’d genuinely rather be in the old ones

Lets hope we move on ASAP

Lots of people try hard to make is sound like people only like the others better because we had more success in them. Those people are wrong. Most people hated the new uniforms the moment they were introduced, they didn't say, "hey, great unis!" and then 5 years later decide they sucked.

Even Warren Sapp hyping it couldn't get me to like it and that's someone who could make watching paint dry sound like the most exciting thing ever. God bless him though, I hope he's there to introduce the next look -especially if it's good. I'd have just settled on chrome face masks and making the flags bigger -which really is a good touch.
