Addressing the recent board outage

Alright, so now that I actually know what happened I'm comfortable making an announcement. Basically, the MySQL server crashed and needed to be reset. The monitoring that was in place was insufficient to detect this because it was still reading the page as being up due to the error page loading. Unfortunately there was a breakdown in communication in the admin team and that was the true cause of the lengthy down time. These issues have been corrected so hopefully any future problems of this type can be responded to almost immediately.

I'd like to apologize on behalf of the admin team because although we're volunteers on a free site we're also fans and when the board is out like that it really sucks. So thanks for your patience and know that while we are learning as we go we are learning from every mistake and making adjustments to make the BucZone experience as enjoyable for you guys as possible.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Thanks for bringing our online home back up.

I'm appreciative of all the admin team's efforts to provide this place for us all to enjoy.

I admin on several different pages, one with over 6000 members and only us 3 admins, so thank you for your time, energy effort and concern. It is always appreciated.

Part of closing the communication gap on the Admin team was making sure the Twitter and Facebook pages stay updated.
