The board’s integration with Tinypic allowed mobile users to post photos from the phone. Since Tinypic fell apart can we get another phot hosting service integrated with this board?

Imgur works, but not the same way Tinypic did. With Tinypic, you could upload photos directly from your computer hard drive or your phone without first uploading them to a photo hosting site like Imgur.

No kidding. I didn't know that either. Then again, I can only embed a youtube video about half the time I try so no one is surprised.

I will go back to using my abacus now.

There was a post about the youtube stuff a couple years back. You have to make sure the address has the "S" and is httpS, not just http. Then you have to make sure it's youtube.com (there are some aliases that it can be sometimes). The you have to only have this part after youtube.com. "youtube.com/watch?v=<random letters and numbers>". If there is a "&" after the random letters and numbers, remove it.

So....
https://youtube.com/watch?v=<random letters and numbers>

remove and trailing "&" and anything after that. Should work every time.

Exactly. I post from my phone 99% of the time so it made posting pics easy as uploading them from my phone. Now it’s a pain in the ass.

Here's another trick...

Often when you click on a YouTube video that was posted outside of the YouTube webpage, the URL won't be in the correct format for embedding it here.

Anytime you want to post a youtube video and it doesn't have the right URL for embedding, copy the title of the video, paste it in the YouTube search bar and hit enter. Then click on one of the results that pop up on the right side of the page (usually the 1st one). You should then have a URL that will allow you to embed the video with the youtube button on here.

Also, the mobile link won't work. If it's youtu.be or whatever it is, that won't embed.
