Just when I thought he couldn't take ineptitude to another level, JR Smith pulls an even BIGGER JR Smith....

SMFH...

I thought Lebron was going to fight him, lol.

Anybody thinking Bron stays in Cleveland after the next 4 games is insane.

By the rule Love and Thompson will be suspended, but hopefully they don't suspend Love.

There was one official calling a block. Even if they don't review the play, there's still a chance they get together to discuss the call and it ends up overturned anyway.

in slowmotion, 5 thousand times, it was a blocking foul.

real time it was a charge.

refs got it right the first time and there was zero reason to even review the play. feet were 6 inches from restricted area.

I thought it was a blocking foul the entire time and it turns out it was, but I agree they shouldn't have been able to review the play. NYBF pointed out that another ref indicated a blocking foul. I didn't see it.

I mentioned this last night, but KD was terrible. I counted 6 times he let Lebron run by him for an open dunk. He wanted nothing to do with defending Lebron and was lazy on fighting through screens. Curry played MUCH tougher D on Lebron. KD was also trash on offense. Steph was the 2nd best player on the court last night and Love, Klay, and Dramond were all better than KD.

The ref at the top right starts to motion for a block. And if you keep watching when the angle changes, you can see the ref who called the charge pauses at first, looking toward the other official at his call.

Put a fork in them, Cavs are done...

As I predicted, it'll be GS in 5...

While 0-2 is a familiar place for the Cavs, I never thought they really had a chance. They could do what they've done in the past and play out of their minds at home, but I doubt it.

Steph Curry now holds the 3 point records for:

Most 3s in a game in the regular season
Most 3s in a game in the playoffs
Most 3s in a game in the finals
Most 3s in a playoff series
Most 3s in the playoffs in a career
Most 3s in the finals in a career
Most 3s in a season and here is the all time list for regular season (pretty crazy I saw it on ESPN today)

1. Stephen Curry 402 2015-16
2. Stephen Curry 324 2016-17
3. Stephen Curry 286 2014-15
4. Klay Thompson 276 2015-16
5. Stephen Curry 272 2012-13

Cavs went all in on stopping Steph. They trapped him at half court, put LeBron on him a lot, and he was cold. This left Hood and George Hill to cover Durant too many times. Durant killed the Cavs. At 3-0, it's over. I still think the Cavs will win a game.

I'm surprised the ratings have been so good.

Warriors starting off ridiculous led by Steph. If they keep this up it'll be a 40 point blowout.

Looks like Lebron and the Cavs stopped trying in the 3rd quarter. 0 effort on D or on the glass.

Golden State Warriors defeated and swept the Cleveland Cavaliers 4 games to 0, and won tonight 108-85, and are the 2018 NBA World Champions!!!!!!

Le Bron did not help the cause for his Cavs when he was benched with four fouls in the fourth quarter, though.

The Dubs won the title again, and won the NBA Title 3 of the last four seasons. Congratulations Stephon, KD, Clay, and the rest, because they played on the basketball court like Warriors!!!!! ;) :) 8-)

That's not why he was benched plinkobot. They took him out with 4 min left when the Cavs were down by 30. He shook everyones hand in court.

Durant was almost as bad or worse in game 1, considering the circumstances.

And so ends the least interesting sports final I can think of in the last 30 years. It reminded me of the Cowboys and Bill Part duece, the game no one wanted. The question of where LeBron plays next year is more interesting than this series.

Either way, not sure why you remove yourself from the game at that point.

Hopefully to force the leagues hand with this "Superstar team up" horseshit...

The NBA is easily the least exciting sport there is...

1. They would have to phase it, like implement a hard cap by 2024 or something.

2. The players would have to agree, which I don't think they would.

3. The NBA is more popular than it's ever been. It gets better ratings than all sports outside of the NFL.

Eliminating contract max could help, but players lile CP3, Lebron, and Durant take less anyway, so I don't think it would help.

They could also rework the draft (no lottery, worst teams go first) and/or rework the playoffs..

Shorten playoff series taking away the advantage of the super team (more often or not the better team)...

Go best of 3 first round..best of 5 2nd and don't start best of 7 until the conference finals..

Why mess with it?

As I said, they have been on the rise here and internationally and are making a ton of money.

The draft is the way it is to "prevent tanking"

You don't really think they would consider shortening the playoffs, do you? Many like that the best teams almost always advance, unlike the NFL.

I'm not arguing for the masses here, just myself...

Anyway, the NFL isn't the only sports league to utilize a shorter format..

CFB, NCAA hoops (guys and girls), College World Series and Softball etc...

Other than the Houston scare, it was a forgone conclusion that it'd be LBJ vs GS round #4...with the Warriors being a HUMONGOUS favorite..

No fun in that..

Just like if James goes to Houston next year, the championship will be decided in the Western Finals..

That sucks..

It's just unrealistic, much like individuals asking for a shorter NFL season. The NBA isn't going to intentionally make less money.

There have been talks about reseeding the playoffs so this year it would have been Houston vs GS in the finals, but I don't think that will happen.

This issue and the "super team" problems has been apart of the NBA since it's inception. That's why the Lakers and Celtics hold 60% of all NBA titles.

Super K, have you been an NBA fan for long? The NBA has always been run by super teams and has never enjoyed parity.

70’s: Boston Celtics
80’s: Celtics & Lakers
90’s: Bulls
00’s: Lakers & Spurs
10’s: LBJ & Warriors

Each decade usually has 1 or 2 years with a champion other than the dominant teams of the decade, but it won’t be more than that. The NBA is a league with a history of the super team. The only difference today is instead of an amazing GM creating the super team the players create the teams themselves.

I hate that more than half of the teams in the NBA make the playoffs. The regular season is almost pointless.

Here's a craze idea. 6 teams make the playoffs and the top two seeds get a bye. First round games are best of 3 and then everything else is best of 7. This would at least make the regular season count some.

I hate the idea that teams with a losing record make the playoffs.
