The defense has been this way all season. We've been out-shot REGULARLY for months now. This is why Vasy will win the Venzia.

McD should solidify things in the back. By the end of the season, I think you'll see a much better defensive team than you've seen thus far...

And Sergachev is gonna be a stud. He's a smooth skating motherfucker. So much like a young Hedman...but better.

And thank you ALL for contributing to this thread.

I'm not sure why there aren't more hockey fans (in general). This game is fantastic and a real treat to watch...regardless of whether or not you're a Lightning fan.

Baseball is ****ing lame...and boring. I understand the cultural significance but all things being equal...WHY wouldn't you enjoy hockey? Especially considering we have the best organization in all of sports...as opposed to the Devil Rays...who have the WORST.

Reports from last night are Cooper asked for a coaches challenge on the OT goal (for goalie interference) and Gord Dwyer told him no, there’s no reason to challenge. That's not how that works. Hopefully he gets reprimanded. He's the same clown who threw a glove at Paquette on Monday.

Next time Gord Dwyer refs another game in Tampa, fans need to throw trash at him. He's always had it out for us, feels like.

Lightning sign free agent F Alex Barre-Boulet to a 3-year entry-level contract.

He's played in 57 games in the Quebec Major Jr Hockey League this season and has 49 goals and 104 points along with a plus-27 rating, all of which lead that league.

Interesting signing maybe to take a spot of one of the prospects we traded away. Could be another steal by Yzerman. The signing is getting a lot of praise on Twitter from "those in the know."

It sure seems that Yzerman has developed one heck of a scouting team.

Sounds like Kuch AND Killorn might not be able to go tonight.

Cirelli might get called up.

What is with Cooper's obsession with Sustr? He basically single handedly lost the game last night. He's constantly turning the puck over, unable to clear it, out of position, inept offensively. What gives?

At this point, I'd rather give Koekkoek or even Dotchin a couple games over Sustr.

Wonder what's going on with Kuch? Joe Smith said Mon night the injury wasnt serious & that he should be back Wed. Well he missed last night & is expected to miss tonight. Think he's pissed they traded his bud Vladdy? I know that's a stretch but this whole thing seems odd. No word whatsoever of what the injury was. I know often in hockey it's either "upper/lower body injury" but the specific injury is usually revealed at some point. But nothing here.

And heck, maybe he surprises everyone & plays tonight. Who knows. We need him.

Hope they play pissed off after last night, but a 5-1 loss wouldn't surprise me with who we'll likely have available last night + it being the 2nd of a back to back, 3rd game in 4 nights.

Yeah...this games has "Loss" written all over it. Bish is playing really well, to boot.

We need to big players to step up to have a chance.

That game is crazy. Coulda been 5-4. A disallowed goal.

Pittsburgh is in trouble if Murray is out for an extended time. Bet they wish they had Fluerry again...

We're gonna get beat badly.

It's tied but our defense is shaky...at best. And not just on that PK. We're allowing their best shooters, close-in looks at our goal. They just haven't connected. But they will.

Damn...

More line changes , Cooper is mix and matching and it shows I think .

Too much time in our zone ... let’s go offense , we need a power play or 2

Well that sucked.

After the first 5 minutes...DAL completely dominated the period. It's hard to overstate how complete the domination was.

Our offense is inconsistent at best but the good news is that it's better than our defense.

We have a very difficult time transitioning the puck from defense to offense. And it's not like DAL is standing everyone up in the neutral zone either.

Domingue has kept us in the game...and when he gives up 5 goals...everyone is gonna blame him. The fact is, this team is a mess right now. They need practice time. WITH Kuch AND McD. It's pretty clear that they're just trying to get by until everyone is healthy.

1-1...but it won't end that way. This is just ugly to watch. The boys are hustling...Gourde, JT Miller, TJ, Erne...they're nesting ass...there just doesn't seem to be any plan of attack. This is like watching pee-wee football. Just a glob of players following the ball.

After the first 5 minutes, they NEVER HAD THE PUCK!

If our goalie wasn't playing so well, they'd have 3 on us...

WTF HAPPENED!?

I was frustrated and took the dog for a nice long walk.

I come back 15 minutes later and they've put up a 4 spot?

WTF!?

Don’t worry about it. Let it wash over you.

Also, take the dog on another walk.
