WUT? Vasy has played with us for 3 years.

If there's a joke then it went over my head

It's number of games played...not number of years on the team.

I think the number is 25 games played? I could be wrong but he may be a "rookie" by league standards. Alhough I don't know if they count playoff games. He's close either way. This MAY be considered his rookie season. Now that I think about it, he HAS to have played more than 25 regular season games...right?

I don't care either way. He's a monster. Does he have a nickname yet? Like Bulin Wall? I can't think of one for Vasy.

The team calls him "Big Cat".

And I'll buy that for a buck. The dude is unreal going laterally, from post to post.

Watch the save last night against JVR (I think). ****ing ridiculous.

If you saw him in the playoffs a couple of years ago, you could see he was gonna be a stud. The mental aspect was his bugaboo...

He was 20 years old then.

I heard something today that blew my mind...and is kind of hard to believe:

Since Bish was traded in February of last year...and Vasy became the #1...he has lost 9 games. NINE.

He's played nearly a FULL SEASON's worth of games...and has 9 losses.

That's insane.

****ing insane.

He's played like 120 career starts not including the playoffs. He lost his rookie status like 3 years ago when he was with us for his second year after the Cup run.

Great goaltending tonight. Bolts had there chances to get the GW goal but Carey Price was a damn spider monkey.

Picked up a point on the road so can't be too upset. We didn't play bad.

Was working and didn't see the game...just the stats. I agree...3 on 3 OT hockey is the ****ing tits.

As I've said before...it takes a goalie standing on his head to beat the Bolts.

There are VERY FEW games where a goalie is gonna hold us to ONE goal when we have 40+ shots.

2-0-1 on the road. Hard to complain about that. A back-to-back this weekend. Looking forward to it. OTT should be beaten. We are due for an offensive explosion. Also looking forward to seeing Domingue play. Frankly...I think he sucks balls but the games I saw him play were with AZ so it's tough to tell...

Like I expected, here comes a plethora of losses.

Price is Price but the Canadians suck.

The Sens just flat-out are awful, & we just got boatraced & embarrassed.

January is going to be a struggle.

FINALLY got to see an entire game.

Wasn't sure what to expect out of Domingue tonight. Honestly...a solid performance. The D didn't play particularly well (on defense) but Louis gave us every opportunity to win the game.

We found a way to win this one in regulation...against a franchise that always plays us tough...even if they don't WIN.

Get some rest, boys!

Yanni Gourde is stupid good. If it's loose in front of the net he's gonna put it in almost every time. So awesome to have. Great game by Domingue. Just hang in there boys. 2 more games and you'll get some rest. God knows they are gonna need it with a LONG road trip coming up. lol they play the stacked Central division and then the Western Canada trip. Sheesh. For the love of God just PLEASE get through it without getting hurt.

Calm down chicken little. It was one game. Bolts just picked up 7 out of a possible 10 points on the 5 game road trip. There is 82 games and even good teams drop a few here and there. Health is what matters for this team and (knock on wood) the Bolts are fairing pretty well in the injury department.

Bolts have 3 home games before going on a their most extended road trip of the season beginning Jan 20th, starting with 8 straight and 12 of the next 17 away from Amile Arena.

Guys, give me a break on that post. Yes, 7 out of 10 points is amazing. The losses to Ottawa and Montreal flat-out sucked...but I didn't just post that for now, just b/c of those two games. Our schedule in January is RIDICULOUS. I'm just trying to simmer expectations a little bit. We're going to go through a tough stretch here. It's going to happen. We've only lost back-to-back games 2-3 times this entire season. We're due for a rough go, especially with the road-heavy schedule. Now, I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'm just bracing for it. I don't have a problem losing to good teams, but when we lose to bad teams and look like crap doing it, THAT'S what gets at me the most.

Glad to hear Girardi will be OK. When that happened live, it was incredibly scary. The injury bug has started to bite a little bit. Hopefully it'll stay away for the most part, though.

The win over Detroit, even though we didn't play great, was encouraging. Nice to see Domingue look solid. I know it was just one game, but hopefully he'll get another chance here soon to prove he belongs to stay as the backup. Even though he's young, Vasy could use another day off.

Btw, I love how Cooper ripped into the guys after the Ottawa loss, throwing around the "entitled" word about them. They responded last night.

Girardi participated in the morning skate. He might play tonight. That's amazing considering he took a puck to the back of the neck 2 days ago.

Vasy getting the start tonight. Need to start this little 3-game homestand off on the right foot with those upcoming road trips.

Speaking of which, for my birthday the wife got us tickets to the Lightning at Stars game on March 1. Looking forward to it.
