Would've loved to have seen Tyson in the octagon back in the day...

Would've been a much better fight.

But......Mayweather has been out of the game for 2 years now. He's an over 40 athlete that relies on twitch and reflex and McGregor is much bigger and stronger. Will Mayweather look just like he did before, or will he come out and look like one of those older athletes that just looks like a slo mo version of themselves.

What made (makes) him great has little to do with superior athletic ability IMHO. He's simply the most technically sound defensive fighter of his generation. It's like knowing Larry Bird could pop some percs for his back, wander onto a court right now, and hit a bunch of threes like he never left.

A fix...that makes me kind of nervous though.

I'll be interested to see how McGregor even lands punches tbh. Mayweather is greatest defensive fighter/counter puncher many of us have ever seen. If Mayweather treats this fight like his others McGregor will chase him around and take a bunch of jabs to the face.

The only way I see Mayweather get in any trouble vs a guy that has never boxed professionally is if he gets too aggressive and McGregor is able to catch him by some miracle. McGregor has size/power advantage, but that has been true of other Mayweather opponents who were also very skilled boxers.

Saw that someone laid a mil on Mayweather in Vegas yesterday...

Yikes.

This fight has the makings of a being a colossal bust, imo...

Tyson would have been a poor fit for the octogan unless he somehow became a dominant grappler. His peek-a-boo style was designed to let him slip punches, get in close and devastate people. All to often, he ran into people that would just clinch with him the whole fight. In the UFC, against a skilled grappler, there would be no ref to break them up. Tyson would have gotten scooped, slammed and subbed.

I could see Tyson being an outstanding grappler, though. He has the perfect body type to be a dominant greco-roman wrestler (which is a little different, of course.) Short, thick trunk, compact. If he wanted to be a grappler, he could have become a good one. But it is a projection.

It's very tough to project boxers into the Octagon in general for obvious reasons. If I could pick one dude to try it, it would have been Sugar Ray Leonard. He was SO quick and SO lithe and he was so good at generating power from odd angles. He would have ruled UFC.

I got an e-mail saying I would get $10 off if the video is not in HD after the reboot.

I'm not super happy about it.

Imma talk SOOOO much **** at work tomorrow at my boy. lol that Floyd has never faced anyone like this. Bullshit dude. I brought up McGregor's endurance and that he'd wear out beyond the 25 minute mark and buddy argued Mayweather would be KO'd by the 3rd.

HAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mighty bold statement considering Conner hasn't gone more than 5, 5 minute rounds before. And I'm not even sure he's gone the distance in a UFC title match. And McG was gassed by the 6th round.

McG showed better than I thought he would. He, by no means, embarrassed himself. He gave all that he could and was beaten by a great boxer. Well fought by both sides. If you payed for the fight, you got your money's worth.

That said, this was an easy MW win. Money in the bank and I'll be collecting m share :D

And don't get it twisted...if the ref didn't stop the fight. McG woulda gotten KNFO. I don't want to hear a bunch of bullshit tomorrow about how the ref shouldn't have stopped the fight...

Even McGregor agreed with the stoppage right after the fight. That'll probably change later, but he was finished.
