I think that could be a great deal for both teams.

Done deal

Celtics to final

Celtics will lose to the Warriors, lol, but I agree. They will make it to the final. I think the Cavs got a pretty good deal as well. They got Crowder, IT, Zizc, and I think Brooklyns 1st round pick.

Celtics starting 5:

PG - Kyrie Irving
SG - Gordon Hayward
SF - Jaylen Brown
PF - Marcus Morris
C - Al Horford

Really? You think the Celtics beat the Cavs this year? I don't see it.

Cavs still have Lebron next year? I'd bet their in the Finals again.

They lose anyone else other than Kryie?

Gained D. Rose, Isaiah Thomas, Crowder, anyone else???

Still better than the Celtics imo. Better on the glass, shoots the 3 better, and the Celtics got worse on defense. Kyrie and Hayward aren't beating Lebron.

IT is a massive downgrade from Kyrie. As much as we(ken) hates on Kyrie's defense, IT is much worse. He's also not as good offensively, can't create his own shots as well, just overall not as good. I think the Cavs may add Wade, but right now the Celtics looks like the better offensive team on paper.

I have no idea how they will fare defensively without Bradley or Crowder, but Stevens needed an elite player like Kyrie paired with Heyward, Horford, and Tatum. They could be explosive.

Crowder will help the Cavs against the Warriors, but they took a step back offensively. I think the pick is great for them when Lebron leaves next year.

Agreed that IT is a big downgrade. The difference in the East is Lebron. The Celtics have nothing for him and don't have anyone to run an offense. Kyrie is an amazing scorer (top 5 scorer), but nothing else beyond that.

I think he'll run it better than IT. Stevens is amazing and word was he didn't want to keep IT. I think they got better.

If Lebron takes even the slightest step back, I think the Celtics can win. Knowing Lebron, he might not, but we will have to see. I think it's difficult to argue this Celtics team isn't better than last year.

Edit: If the Cavs add Wade... It's done. Rest him all year, have him provide playoff scoring. They will beat the Celtics.

I think people forget that Irving is 3 years younger than IT and IT is a FA after this season.

Let's remeber there was a significant gap between these teams.

Lebron has beaten better teams in the playoffs than this Celtics team. His supporting cast is still plenty good.

I think at the very least the east is more interesting.

Barring injury, no one is beating the Warriors.

Happy for Brad Stevens. I think he's an amazing coach and with a player the caliber of Irving on his team he can help the Celtics get over the hump.

If Lebron retires he can. Otherwise if that "hump" is named Lebron Stevens will coach an fun 2nd place team.

If the Cavs (who were a better team than the Cs) had to rely on Irving throughout the playoffs this year they would have been eliminated by round 2 at the latest.

I don't think the Cavs are a better team without Kyrie Irving, they are definitely not better offensively. But they still have talent on the roster and got better depth and length w/ Green and Crowder. Rose and Thomas both have durabilty issues, but if either can be right for the playoffs I don't see much of a dropoff b/c they will be a better defensive team than they were last season and will still be able to space the floor with Love/Frye, Korver/JR Smith.

The Celtics closed the gap, but I still don't them beating this Cavs team w/ a healthy Lebron in a best of 7 series.

PG - D. Rose, Isaiah Thomas, Jose Calderon
SG - JR Smith, Kyle Korver, Iman Shumpert
SF - Lebron, Jeff Green, Jae Crowder
PF - Kevin Love, Channing Frye
C - Tristan Thompson,

So Kevin Durant seems to be done with twitter (or should be imo) after embarrassing himself yesterday and pulling a Skip Bayless.

For those not aware, Durant is evidently so sensitive about criticism on social media that he makes ghost accounts that he defends himself on against the trolls out there. Well he apparently forgot he was logged into his real account yesterday and basically trashed OKC pretending to be some anonymous fan.

Lame...

Go look at the IG posts where he argues with kids on a spoof account. They're even better than twitter.

How sad... I mean C'mon man!! You're Kevin ****ing Durant and you're out here playing yourself on social media. Even if you are that sensitive, just ignore that stuff.

Bad look for KD.

I see an old, injury prone team here.

This wouldn't even be a top-4 seed in the West.

I really wish the NBA would do away with seeding playoffs by conference. Just take the top 16 teams regardless of conference. This has been an ongoing issue for 2 decades now. The East has been so weak overall while the West has been so deep.

Also, you've got the depth chart a little off there, Dread. Rose isn't going to start over Thomas. Jeff Green isn't getting playing time over Jae Crowder. I bet Cleveland's best lineup ends up being Thomas/Crowder/LeBron/Love/Thompson.

Are Russell, George and Melo enough to challenge the warriors?

Paul George.

He's a top 15 player.

Wade to the Cavs some are reporting. I called that a while ago.
