Spurs are playing one of their best games so far. James Harden has been completely uninterested in scoring since tip off. It's like he gave up before the game.

Rockets look horrible.

The Capitols hold that title, but they would probably surpass them.

I'm not familiar with the Capitols. How have they choked more than blowing a 25 point lead in the Super Bowl?

They've been the most winning franchise in hockey over the past either 3 or 5 years and haven't made it to the conference finals...much less the Stanley Cup finals.

Basically they are the best team every year and suck in the playoffs. The Falcons and Warriors have choked once, thus far. The Caps choke every year.

I think the Rockets completely falling apart AFTER the Spurs lost their best player is a choke job, too...but not to the extent of the others.

edit: Harden has made 2 shots with 5 min to go in the 4th. He's only shot the ball 8 times and has 6 turnovers.

That was just ugly. An elimination game on your home court, and that's what you roll out there? It's like they thought that, with Parker already out, and with the announcement that conveniently came through 2 hours before tip that Kawhi wasn't going to play, they could just coast their way to a game 7.

IF they fail to win it all this year, they certainly will be remembered as one of the best teams to be coming up short when it's big. Though they do have one to their credit I suppose.

I know how unlikely it is, but watching those highlights of Harden it truly looks like a fix. Some plays that he made were indefensible and illogical unless you're trying to lose.

As I mentioned previously in this thread, I'm a Rockets fan. I have no idea what I watched last night.

James Harden is an amazing player, I think he should win MVP for this season and really, he should have won it last year. His game is unique, we've never seen anything like it, and I think it is truly underappreciated.

All of that being said, he has to figure something out about his playoff performance. I remember against Portland a few years ago, in crunch time he passed the ball to a rookie, Troy Daniels, instead of taking the big shot. Two years ago against the Clippers, he was benched for the entire 4th quarter and we came back to win the game and series led by Josh Smith of all people. And now this. No one can even begin to explain what happened. He passed up open shots, turned the ball over, looked disinterested. Do these superstars have such an influence over the franchise that no one calls them out? Someone needed to get in his face and find out what was going on...unless they know and it just hasn't come out.

He and the whole team, besides maybe Capela and Beverley, deserve whatever is said about them this week.

I don't think it's unlikely or farfetched....

Harden only took 11 shots?!..11 ****ing shots!!!

One of the premier scorers in the league, in an elimination game, at home..11 ****ing shots..

Complete horseshit..

Although I wanted the Celtics to win, what a freaking game that was. FINALLY a game that wasn't a 20 point win for one side or the other.

In a 7 game series, I'd rather see a sweep with all 4 games being like that one, than see it go all 7 games with lopsided victories all over the place.

Lose the series? Probably. But no way they get swept. Every year it's the same story with the Spurs. They're too old, they're not contenders, their run is over. Then they come out and are one of the top 4 teams in the league. Leonard needs a lot more MVP consideration than he's gotten also. I get Westbrook and Harden put up crazy offensive numbers, but neither do what Leonard does on defense. I expect Spurs to win at least 2.

You could have been right if not for dirty play by Zaza. They were beating the brakes off GSW.

I haven't been able to watch the second half. What did Zaza do?

It's just too bad Kawhi got hurt. It would have been a better game to see what he could have brought to the game.

Stepped under him on a 3 and Leonard twisted his ankle again. Spurs were up by 21 at that point.

Just saw the play. There was no need for that extra hop at the end by Zaza to close out. Kinda ironic that as soon as Leonard tweaks his ankle, there's a warrior player to tweak it again.
