Agree with this.

Sure, we don't know for sure who did what. We know about a ton of hitters we think did wrong, but we probably don't know about a ton of pitchers who also did. The whole investigations was tainted from the jump, and a bunch of sealed records were leaked...but why shouldn't a schlubby sportswriter get to arbitrarily decide who was juicing and who wasn't?

Depends on the team. 5 to 7 days or so.

Being a Braves fan will continue to be depressing this year. I am interested in who all makes it up this year from the minors. From having the worst farm system in the league to the best in two years is a solid job - only took trading the entire team (minus Freeman) away!

Oh well, there is always defending my Fantasy Baseball Championship.

Word around Deland is that a certain high profile Stetson alum was seen on crutches in a walking boot over the weekend.
No, not really

So, we had the best record in the AL and were on pace to win 98 before the Cueto/Zobrist trades...

Now, we have that same pre-trade roster, except with Ian Kennedy in for the injured Jason Vargas...Jarrod Dyson in for Alex Rios (who was hurt or terrible all year)...and Joakim Soria in for the injured Greg Holland. The 5th spot was open last year after Guthrie imploded, and it'll be either Danny Duffy, Kris Medlen, or Dillon Gee. But it's basically the same team. Gotta think we'll be in the mix again.

Bautista

And why should he budge? He can only negotiate with one team right now. And he feels he's already given them a "hometown discount" the last five years. No sense in selling yourself short before you hit the open market.

Do you think he'd receive those figures on the open market?

Not sure. But that's inconsequential to what he's asking for.

He'll get 4 years/100M from Miami after this year.

7 teams have played at Turner Field this year. 6 teams have more wins there than the Braves.

I know there are some real good quotes from Bootz on the old board about how great a rebuilding job the Braves were doing a couple years ago.

Best punch I've ever seen in MLB.

Lots of build up starting with Bautista's obnoxious bat flip vs the Rangers in the playoffs last year. The Rangers should NOT have waited until the last at-bat of the season series to retaliate imo, and it was kind of a bush-league move to wait so long to bean him at the plate.

That said, Bautista should have walked his ass back to the dugout after that intentionally hard slide and been done with it. But he decided to act tough engage w/ the SS and ended up getting caught w/ that right cross. There was nothing cheap about that punch imo. Maybe JoeyEars learned a lesson from the school of hard knocks.

I don't blame Bautista for that hard slide into 2nd base after getting beaned. That's baseball. But he should've gone directly back to the dugout b/c made his point that he wasn't happy getting throw at with that slide. But when he decided to engage w/ Odor after the slide he has to deal with the potential reaction.

Baseball is a self policing sport, always has been. If you want to show up your opponent there will be repercussions. Most punches in baseball brawls don't land, but this one did.

Ichiro got to 3000 hits. Since he did it @Coors I actually got a chance to see it in person which was amazing.

We were already going to all 3 games of the series, but he managed it in the final game.
