It's cool that the same organization that has a problem with Gurriel has no problem with the Cleveland logo.

What a freaking game. Crazy to think the result would've been different if MLB invoked a suspension

Been up since 6 AM and fell asleep watching it after 7-4 LAD around 10:30 and miss the whole thing. I wake up at 2 am and can't sleep. lol I will never fail this hard as a baseball fan again.

Sometimes life truly is unfair.

You didn't think Stanton was going to finish that contract as a Marlin, did you?

I didn't really think he'd make it to the contract as a Marlin in the first place, so once it was signed.. anything I thought was out the window.

From there, I could really only hope. I really hoped he'd at least make it to his opt out. With that said, if Jorge Mas bought the team(or even Loria not selling the team). I doubt he'd be in a situation where he's being traded after winning the MVP.

Even while he has a tendency to strike out a lot, any return we will receive back is going to be straight up robbery. sucks.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I disagree with the highlighted part. Stanton had a great season, but prior to his MVP campaign, he had 100 RBIs in one other season. He's a career .268 hitter, not impressive at all. His OBP has never been in the .400s in any season. He's also a guy that tends to miss at least 40+ games every other season.

IMO, if he is traded this offseason, Marlins would get over-compensation for a player that, IMO, will never have a season like this again. This season was the exception, not the norm for Stanton. MIA can lose with him (as they have for 8 years), but trading a player who is "in his prime", coming off an MVP season, IMO, in this situation is not a bad idea.
