I'm learning GIMP and came up with a decent wallpaper

Postby FiddlerBuc » Fri Aug 24, 2018 2:49 pm

Aloha everyone,

I've decided to switch from Photoshop to GIMP, as GIMP is entirely free, and I'm running Arch Linux (with Arco Linux niceties on top) on my Intel NUC. This is rather quickly-created wallpaper, but it came out pretty good. I must also point out that I like a darker theme - I'm running the GNOME 3 DE as well, so some of the elements may not be best suited for a Windows desktop (it's not centered, but is more on the left side of the wallpaper). The image on the left is the wallpaper itself, and the one on the right is a screenshot, showing my desktop. On the right edge of my desktop is Conky, a linux app showing various system stats. Let me know what yall think.

I like it. Like you, I also like the darker reds. It's easy on the eyes.
