Android Tablets

Postby bucfanfromky » Sun Feb 22, 2015 10:12 pm

Anyone here use any of the Android tablets? I've been a big Nexus fan and started out with the 7 and recently upgraded to the Nexus 9. I mostly use mine for internet browsing, reading, podcasts, and doing my college work on it.

I know that I'm barely scratching the surface of what I can do with it so I'm interested to hear what y'all use yours for. Any app or accessory suggestions?

I am currently still using a Nexus 7. What kind of app recommendations are you looking for?

Yep nexus 7 here too. Tho I finally cracked my screen 3 years later so my get something else soon. I'm still using it, but nothing below the crack works, like the button that's shows all open apps, the period when typing, etc. And I can just rotate the screen.

I find myself mostly just using it for Facebook, internet, etc recently. Got it thinking I'd be playing lots a of apps\games

I guess I'm not looking for any apps in particular. Just curious to know what everyone uses their tablet for. I've found more useful apps and uses for my tablet by listening to others than any other way.

I have an extreme hatred for tablets.

Though I do line that the tablet has created a good 2in 1 ultra book market.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6, and like it a lot. Use it mostly for music, and sometimes for this silly board.

Because the 7 inch ones are slightly bigger versions than my phone, but they don't fit in my pocket so they are worse than my phone. I can live without the extra inch or so.. And well they don't make phone calls.

The larger ones arent as useful as a laptop/ultrabook. The on screen keyboards are basically unusable and the keyboard add-ons are mostly cheap/flimsy (well you might as well just get a laptop).

Don't get me wrong.. Android is a fine OS, but I find a tablet to be an extra device to carry that doesn't justify its benefits in cost nor utility.
